I ordered this as a replacement for my OEM unit as I have a train horn and aftermarket stereo and lights that I wanted to not drain my batteries. It bolted right up in the factory spot with no issues.I had the positive terminal break off after two weeks and contacted David and he was more than willing to help me out. I had to pay for the new so that I could get it in a timely manner. It was expected to arrive in a week which I was regretting having my vehicle down for a week. But to my surprise it showed in two days.Probably was just a flaw in the original unit, I'm hoping.

Direct fit on my 2001 F350 7.3 and ten minute installation. Build quality looks good and nice pulley on it. One month in and thus far working very well.Looking forward to the extra reliability of the increased amperage.

Might be the electrical system. Big gage wire systems!

Headlights would go really bright when the engine revved, I don't think it put out anywhere near the amount of power advertised, only lasted 2 years in the truck, went back to oem

Installed on 01 7.3 Excursion, so far so good, its charging at 13.5+ Volts. Time will tell as this is the third alternator in four years. Next step is to change out the battery cables.

Runs good and the smaller pulley keeps the battery fully charged every time I drive. OEM alternator charged at 13.8 volts. This one keeps changing at 14.2 volts.
