The Easy Way To Do It
In the mid-Eighties I bought a Japanese Fender Jazzmaster that is now older than any vintage available at the time. I was never completely happy with the sound; the pickups were not wound like Jazzmaster pickups and the wiring was not completely to spec and used okayish components. I completely rewired the guitar with cheap replacement parts a few years ago just to improve the sound but it wasn't long before the electronics started to show their lack of quality. This harness comes without the hassle of soldering, except soldering the two pickups wires; it's got excellent parts and will definitely improve the sound of any imported Jazzmaster.

Wobbly volume pot, but decent overall.
First, the okay part, the volume pot is wobbly. It works, and I'm hoping it'll be fine in the long run, but for this price I'd have expected the person that put it together to check things like that and that all the parts to be top notch. -2 stars.Second, the good part, it improved my guitar's sound and was fairly easy to install, which is why I paid the premium price in the first place.

Great harness, no grounds tho. would absolutely buy again
installed along with fender pure vintage 65 pickups and a new pickguard. sounds great and is super quiet even on a single pickup. came with excellent instructions and was a perfect fit for my squier classic vibe jazzmaster. my only complaint is it did not come with the 3 grounds that my squier had (1 bridge ground & 2 body cavity grounds). I’m very happy with the purchase and will buy another 920D harness in the future but please add those missing wires. thanksedit - I reached out to 920D - they thought the bridge ground was adequate and I am not an electrical engineer so I am not going to argue the point. I still wish they’d include the ground to bridge wire, but it’s a minor thing

Fantastic - But Mods Were Necessary
Overall the sound I my Jazzmaster improved considerably. I would have given 5 stars and not sure if this is my fault - Own a early 1990 re-issue Jazzmaster. Modifications need were adding washers between roller pots and bracket for thumbwheels of the rhythm circuit otherwise rollers would no line up with pickguard.Had to drill slightly (and I mean slightly) larger holes in pickguard for volume and treble controls. For me 5 solder points needed. One for + bridge pickup, one for +neck pickup and then - / ground for both pickups soldered to volume pot. Ground wire our of body soldered to tone pot.Sound improvement was very noticeable and all components appeared top notch

great choice for upgrading a Squier Jazzmaster
this is an extremely high quality product crafted with top of the line components. recently i used this with a lovely white pearl pickguard in an upgrade to a candy apple red squier deluxe jazzmaster st ... what with this harness and the vintage pickups i put in, it looks sounds and plays great!it's extremely fortunate that this product is available because it would've taken me forever to do properly on my own and it wouldn't have come out anywhere near as nice, as i'm not very experienced with electronics. recommended!

Ok at first, gave issues after a year
Started off ok with no issues, then started cutting out so I rechecked my soldering but couldn’t fix. I think the pots went bad, gotta take it to the shop now cause I’m done wasting time trying to fix.

Great Product
I've used 920D wiring products before with great satisfaction. While a bit pricy, with the complex wiring of a modern Jazzmaster, this can be a great help in building your dream guitar. Be warned that in this iteration 920D uses 1 megohm pots which can accentuate some already serious high frequencies in some pickups, especially Fender's Vintera 60s.

Good Harness But Too Expensive
At first I gave this thing a harsher review than it deserved. After playing with it my guitar for a few days I do notice a difference in tone for the better. It is super easy to install as opposed to making a mess of trying to make one yourself and it will improve your tone over the stock wiring....with that said $175 is still too damn much when you are talking about a wiring harness with $30 max worth of parts in it. Even if they are top of the line. I bet if they didn’t send it with that thick plastic copy of a jazzmaster pick guard they would be able to shave $50 off of the price immediately. I guess it’s the only game in town right now though.
