Hello Amazon Customer, The cotton swabs have paper sticks.

Where is it produced?

I just got mine. The package says "Made in USA" on both the larger box it came in, and the individual packaging for the 4 cartons. I'm so pleased that an Amazon Basic product is not made in China. I hope it continues to stay this way!

I’m the same way, I can’t stand how generic ones just feel smaller or more compact, just not as good. In my opinion, these are the closest dupe, if I were to do a side by side comparison, I genuinely wouldn’t know which is which. Overall I was really impressed with these cotton swabs and I would recommend them!
