Q: Does the outside of the oven gets hot?

I notice that the top of this toaster oven gets really hot is that a normal thing to happen or should I return it back to amazon. I'm very afraid of that

Q: Do you have to turn it over and shake it to get the crumbs out? or is there a door ithat opens on the outside of the bottom of oven?

Thank you for your question, Sara. This model has a pull-out crumb tray that rests on the bottom of the unit, below the heating elements. The tray can easily be removed after opening the door.

Q: Does the tray slide out when the door is opened?

You can pull the tray out manually, but it does not slide out automatically when the door is opened.

Q: Does it chime or otherwise let you know when it is finished toasting?

It does chime, but it is not very loud - an anemic "ding" that I can't hear it in the next room. I use one of those wind up kitchen timers with a fairly loud ring when I need to pay attention to the cook time.+
