How can i ensure ego products purchased on amazon are covered by ego’s warranty?

I previously called Ego and they said that all chain saws are purchased by Amazon from a third party and are thus NOT covered by Ego's warranty as Amazon is the original purchaser and not their customer. They ARE covered by Amazon's return policy.

What is the difference between the cs1611 and the cs1613 other than the battery capacity? are they otherwise the same model?

Yes, they are the exact same chainsaw, but the CS1611 comes with a 56V 2.5 AH battery, and the CS1613 comes with the larger 56V 4.0 AH battery.

Is it possible to put a longer Oregon bar and chain on this model?

No. This chainsaw requires an a041 tail mount. Oregon doesn't make a bar over 18 inches with that tail mount.
