This definitely rings true for this game. It's definitely not for everyone and I can see where some would get frustrated...or really bored (however that is mostly those who refuse to engage their brains). The game looks fantastic, I absolutely love the aesthetic, and the story is very engaging. This game really is something special. It's quite the relaxing ride, but not to the point it would put one to sleep. Rather it makes one want to keep moving forward. There is a lot to find and unpack. I still haven't gotten through the entire game yet and I don't want it to end. Anyway, I definitely recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a change of pace from non stop action packed gameplay interspersed with epic/Hollywood-esque cutscenes for something much more chill and thought provoking...this is the game for you. Edit: I got through the entire game and was not disappointed. I would like to note that there are a few audio issues when in "The City", and the controls are kind of wonky when driving the rover. A few unsightly pop in here and there, but nothing major, but my previous review still stands, despite these very minor issues. One must remember that this game was made by a VERY small team of developers, and despite that, they still managed to deliver this beautiful rendered, thought provoking sci-fi experience. One thing I must admit, during my first playthrough, I did rush a bit here and there. This game really wants the player to take their time. I am now playing through it again, and taking my time, being much more attentive to the dialouge, playing closer attention to my surroundings, and not to mention my responses. It really makes all the difference. Different scenarios will play out depending on your responses and actions, and there is a lot to miss if you don't take your time. I reiterate that this is not your run of the mill FPS. In fact it isn't an FPS at all. It's a first person interactive story. And whoever did the voice for Yasna was perfect....which has nothing to do with anything, I just threw that in. So sit back, relax, and take your time traversing this alien world that is Regis III.

Great gameplay experience ! If you are into great storytelling and would like a game that makes you think about consequences of your actions , this is definitely worth your time . Based on late Soviet era Sci-Fi writing , outstanding !! I don’t want to say to much , so as not to spoil the game . If however you you prefer to play only games that everyone else play , because you are afraid what if a game is just no good . I suppose all I can say to you then is miss out on this great game and just stay with the flockkkk 🐑

It’s more like an interactive story than you usual ‘shoot the space monsters’ video game.
