This is a fantastic manual hash press. I did some research and spent a few extra dollars, and I'm very glad I did. This press makes quality, consistent pucks of hash. My personal process involves heating the press in my oven and then cooling down it the freezer for extraction. These sudden and drastic changes in temperature didn't even make this thing flinch for a second!! Zero evidence of metal shavings like you might get in a cheaper press. I do strongly recommend cutting some circles of parchment paper to keep the hash from getting stuck to the weights, and replacing these circles every 3-4 pucks. Between uses, make sure the top weight is not loose on the shaft, there is an included Allen key to retighten when/if this jappens. If you do not use heat to press your hash, clean with a q-tip dipped in alcohol every 3-4 uses. If you use heat, you can clean every 6-7 uses, since the heat keeps the excess kief from drying and hardening. Whether you're just starting out or an extraction expert looking for a personal press, I can't recommend this highly enough!!

Great press for personal use! I’d recommend cutting small circles of wax paper for each end of the inside of the press to prevent the puck sticking after being pressed. It’s not necessary but, just helps.

First time I used it work perfectly came out like a little hockey puck I let it sit in there for 48 hours turning it a little bit every chance I had...

I shopped around before deciding on this model and glad I did. I've used it many times now and had no problems. I found that initially tightening it, then repeating a slight tightening periodically made a nice tight disc. I condensed some flower this way and it burned a lot longer. You don't need to tighten it like you're a body builder. It will break and is not designed for that amount of pressure.

Got it a while back and finally used. This is an awesome little press. Put some pollen in, cranked it as tight as I could by hand, set it on the toaster oven at 170 for about 15 min, pulled it out with a pot holder of course, cranked it a bit more, set it in the freezer for about 10 min, released the pressure, twisted it out and had a good old fashioned chunk of black h**h. Awsome.

This is pretty large and is easy to use. I was worried the handle would be small, though it's easy to grab and tighten.Wrap your pollen in parchment paper and throw the whole "packet" in the press. It makes it easy for clean-up.

There's a allen wrench that is needed. I simply don't understand why the company doesn't add the wrench to the unit. It's so small I have ALL the sizes but my smallest size doesn't fit. I mean wth. But tool works great for kief compresses to coin size from 1g to 4g sizes. Great medical relief!

So far I am IMPRESSED!!.Easy to use, makes great "pucks" a circle piece of wax or parchment paper on each end makes removal EASY!!!.Comes in a nice case with accessories, for a clean gift. (Which this was) And the recipient was quite thrilled!!! We "tested" it out right away..At the end of the day there are threads, so be patient with large loads, tighten over time. Anything less than 2. 5 grams material it presses quite nice.

Unfortunately the lower puck works loose after a few uses and continually needs tightening. The thread which the grub screw tightens onto has now worn away leaving metal shards in the press. The threaded rod is not stainless steel though the rest of the press is. Really disappointed as it’s a good press but only for a few uses.

This little press is amazing. The quality is as good as you can get.First press was a tester 1 gram. Loaded the press and turned. Keep doing so over a couple hour period.After , opened the press and the puck popped out with ease. Second test was just as easy.Hints - 1 / Apply a drop or two of vegetable oil to the screw part at the base. 2 / Cut little parchment papercircles and place on the top and bottom of the puck. They dont stick that way. 3 / Keep the little screw tighton the plunger screw. Use the included Allan key. Dont cheap out the aluminum ones. 4 / Clean with alcohol every 5 or 6 times.
