Reliable and sharp
This is a 'daily driver' that goes into my pocket for all sorts of tasks. It is a smaller sized knife that is easy to open and has a great hand feel. It is a no nonsense build that relies on friction to keep the blade closed. It is a great little knife.

Very sharp, stays sharp, easy to sharpen.
Great value if you just want a little sharp blade that’s very well made.

Beautiful and sharp but requires more maintenence
This knife is really good, sharp and convenient. While this isn't a drawback but buyers should know it rusts easily, traditionally japanese blacksmiths use carbon steel which oxidizes rapidly. Keep it oiled with WD40, Linseed oil, wax, or other oils and it wont rust.

Beautiful craftsmanship
Absolutely incredible little knife, very sharp! Tend to find myself fidgeting with it quite often.

This is not a working blade. It’s an envelope opener.
If you’re interested in these knives, buy the next size up, because this model is very small. Broke the tip within 24 hours. The blade tip has chipped progressively since day 1. After a few days of use, you have to hammer the main rivet pin tight again to prevent the blade from opening on its own. Even so, I carry it every day, and it stays very sharp. I have heavily modified the blade and handle of my Higo, even choosing to re-shape the blade to remove the damaged edge (though it is about 3/8” shorter).

Great knife
This knife made in Japan is the sharpest and best knife purchase I made.
