Excellent Chair
We've bought four of the Erotech chairs from Sofa in a Box and they are all excellent, solid, brand new chairs. You have to assemble them yourself, but even I was able to do that. Highly recommend them.

Multiple design flaws or poor manufacture quality control.
Poor seller experience initiating replacement of defective product, manufacturer defect and design flaws.Seller delivered defective product. Marketed as 100% new but arrived in box re-packaged, more likely Open Box than New as advertised. Tilt Resistance broken and does not work. Arm supports collapse with little or no pressure and do not stay upright. Chair 'rocks' in 'fixed' position and head rest 'rattles' every time you change sitting position.Do NOT recommend purchase from 3rd Party seller 'Sofa In A Box'. Largely non-responsive and offers no direct assistance in replacing the defective product they sold me. Immediate notification within 24 hours of receipt and essentially no help - they ignored the first two attempts to engage and finally responded offering no replacement or refund of defective product.Other design flaws - frame of reference I am 5'-9" average height but short inseam so longer from crotch to shoulders. Sitting in the chair and my upper back is aching even as I write this review - and while leaning back the chair released and nearly fell backward out of the chair. The chair certainly does not live up to my expectations and not worth the $$$. Multiple design or manufacture flaws:Lower lumbar is not adjustable. The photo appears as if the upper and lower are independent - which was the primary reason for selecting this chair - but they are not independent and move up/down as one. In addition there is no adjustment of the lumbar pressure/resistance apart from vertical location and when you lean back into the chair the lumbar support flexes away removing any support. In the same way there is no adjustment of the upper back. It is well padded, but does not adjust like other ergonomic chairs on the market. The back tilt mechanism is not intuitive, 3 positions only, and not very secure. The tilt resistance adjustment does not work - nuthin' at all. I mean zip, zilch, nada - presume this is manufacture QC problem. The back also rocks back and forth an inch or two when in one of the three 'fixed positions' and already on at least one occasion has suddenly slipped/released to full unrestrained tilt. The adjustable arm rests collapse and do not always stay at fixed vertical position. The head rest attachment relies upon a 'split pin' which is greater diameter than the receiving hole. Even if you force it through the receiving hole with a hammer, you would have to be lucky enough to have it align with an inch long inner hole which transects the support, and then magically penetrate the other side through yet another, you guessed it, exit hole, which again is too small to accommodate the diameter of the split pin. And you have to perform this magic trick not once but twice (oh joy). But wait - It gets better - not only is the headrest difficult to install but the vertical height is difficult to adjust and every time the back tilts while 'fixed' the headrest makes a rattling noise which is VERY difficult distracting. Want some more? the neck/head rest does not adjust high enough to support your head and does not move forward enough to support your neck. Not very functional unless you tilt your head back far enough to stare up at the ceiling.Save yourself the money and headache and buy another product. I will be returning this one - at least attempt - Seller Sofa In The Box has not been helpful.

Comfortable, But Not As Good As Expected
I've been using my Ergohuman chair for over nine months now. Overall, I have to say I'm pleased but there are a few things that are beginning to trouble me.On the plus side, it is a very sturdy, substantial chair. The frame is very heavy and provides a solid base. The pins that lock in the headrest did not seat properly but other than that, assembly was fairly easy. I am 5'9" at 170 lbs and I found the chair easily adjusted for comfort. It is not as "plush" feeling as other chairs I've had but that may be a good things as the occasional back problems I had with my other chairs have gone away. The headrest adjusts and is very comfortable when leaning back. The seat is comfortable and I've found that long days in front of the computer are much more tolerable than in the chairs with foam seats that "bottom out" quickly. On the negative side, the arm rests do adjust on three axes but do not lock solidly and tend to rattle. The recline feature has a tension adjustment but it really doesn't tighten enough to give firm support, so I find myself either locking it forward or reclining fully to work. But the worst part is the loud creaking that developed about two months ago. Whenever I move from the reclined position to the upright position, it creaks very loudly, and continues to creak with any movement. Sometimes it is so loud it can startle you. Have tried WD40 on a couple key joints and that seems to work for a while, but it resurfaces within a few days.Overall, I'm happy that the back issues I had with my other chair have gone away, but the creaking and rattling are a bit much, and not what I'd expected from a $1,000+ chair.

Best chair I've owned
This was absolutely worth the price, as I currently work from home. High quality, sturdy, and very nice looking.
