Bought the brand new one because I didn’t know there were used, but definitely good condition. Wish there was an etextbook for this.

Boring read, but necessary for promotional exam

A place where books come quickly & in amazing condition. A week before my biggest assignment my car was stolen and over 200 dollars of books were also taken, my professor had a no excuse policy so I had to buy them all over again and thanks to the student 2 day shipping my books were back and my work was less than a week late. Great!

This book is a nightmare to read. He should have read his own chapter on report writing (concise, to the point, not excessively wordy) and used it for the rest of his book. Unnecessarily wordy (I shouldn't have to stop and use a dictionary to understand what you're trying to say) and overly lengthy drawn out sentences. Footnotes constantly interjected into the middle of paragraphs make it impossible to follow. Ever heard of an appendix?, or that footnotes belong at the foot of the page, which is why they are called footnotes. I doubt either of authors have any legitimate police service time or experience to call themselves "experts" either. A book written by politicians for politicians, not for the police.

I bought this book for testing purposes for my lieutenants test. It was on our required reading list and I felt the book was a tough read. There were several times I wasn't sure what the author was trying to convey so I had to re-read the paragraph over again. Some of the concepts were new and some were a review of things I had learned about in the past. I put quite a bit of effort into this exam but came up short so I have to wait and see what's going to be on the new list for the next test. Hopefully I will have better results.

This is an excellent book. Definitly worth keeping as a college student. One day you will look back in this book for sure. It is nicely laid out and has a directory. The book has a nice appearance
