Not working on IOS 13 - UPDATE
Worked well for a few months. Now no communication between camera and IPad. Camera recognizes USB attachment but the iPad does not recognize it it even with external power. Import option not visible in Photos and no external devices seen in iPad folders. Tried a USB memory stick and light would intermittently flash, ipad folder would see a USB device but could not see the contents. Had to open it and solder the white data transfer wire which had some loose due to shoddy soldering. It now works, but in less than 1 year of usage it should not have happened. Sadly another unreliable Made in China electronic piece of crap.

It did not work very well
Purchased this to use my USB mic with my phone for my video recording to get better sound. So after a couple of uses the USB cord breaks for my mic; I have had my mic for less than a year—could also be a coincidence. I got a new USB I thought everhting was fine and four recordings in the sound is spotty. I lost about one and half of my recordingsand wasted about 3 hours. I don’t know if I got a bad one or if it’s user misuse; I followed the very simple instructions. It’s easy to use, but I would not recommend this product.

Really cool piece of tech that allows you to charge your phone and listen to music at the same time. I've really enjoyed this adapter since getting it the other day. It solves the problem in my car where I can't listen to music and charge my phone at the same time, so I used to have to choose one of them and not the other. Not anymore. This perfect little problem solver has been wonderful and makes me so excited that I point it out to whoever rides in my car now. I'm very happy with this little item.

Flawless HDMI video.
This adapter works really well with both my iPad and iTouch. Flawless Video over the HDMI cable.I paired it with a 10’ lighting extended cable. This allows me to keep the apple device close at hand well having the video on a large screen for presentations.

Doesn't work
I purchased this product for use with my midi controller and MultiTracks playback app. While the charging part worked the usb connection to the iPad did not. On the three devices I tried it with none of them worked. I confirmed that it was the adapter by testing the same devices with the Apple Brand adapter and seeing them work.Please do not waste time or money purchase the Apple lighting camera connector first

I used it to connect the USB midi keyboard to my iPad and works great.
I use this to interface a USB midi keyboard to my IPad, the midi keyboard draws too much power for the adapter, so I used a powered hub to connect to the USB port of this adapter, then connected midi keyboard to the powered hub and that works great, try this method if you have the same problem with midi keyboards, good luck.
