I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are about. This item is made for home use. If you're using it in an industrial setting, yes it's gone fail rather quickly. It fit my shop vac with no issues and thank God it did. The funky little crevasse tool that came with my vac was a joke. This item is a game changer. I'm gonna order two or three more as back up

I will use it with my vacuum to get the lint out of my dryer.

I purchased this Broan-Nutone long crevice tool not to use with a floor vacuum but, rather, to expand the accessory options of my two SHOP-VAC wet/dry vacuums having 1.25” hose diameters.I already have a SHOP-VAC 90616 Crevice Tool that came included with my one wet/dry vacuum model but it measures only 7.25” long. That length usually suffices, especially when working in more confined spaces where using any additional length would be awkward and cumbersome such as underneath a car seat, but I occasionally find need a longer nozzle length. Therefore, I purchased the SHOP-VAC 91996 1.5” Crevice Tool, which measures a bit longer at 10” and also came included with a 1.25” hose adapter, so I can use it with my vacs. However, I sometimes wish I had even a more nozzle length so I went ahead and purchased this Broan-NuTone CT110 long crevice tool which measures 13.75” long.I’ve test fit this Broan-NuTone CT110 to the 1.25” hose diameter of both my 10-gallon and 12-gallon Shop-Vacs and I’m pleased to say that it fits them just perfectly… nice and snug with no slippage during use.Some other reviewers have noted that this tool is constructed of “cheap and thin” plastic. I disagree with that observation. I’m a pretty fussy and hypercritical consumer, and this tool seems to me to be fairly well-made and reasonably sturdy. Comparing it side-by-side to the other SHOP-VAC crevice tools I own, the plastic thickness does appear to be slightly thinner but not significantly so. Even so, the plastic construction of this long nozzle stills feels durable and not flimsy or junky. Honestly, it looks and feels just like any other halfway-decent crevice tool typically found included with most new floor vacuums. Used properly, the nozzle tip doesn’t seem like it will be too prone to eventual splitting or cracking like some of the other cheaper crevice tools I’ve used throughout the years. So far, it’s worked just fine for me and I have no complaints whatsoever.Look, this thing is a crevice tool. It’s not necessarily meant to be used continuously as some sort of substitute for an actual floor nozzle (like a sweeper). It’s simply meant to be used to extend one’s reach or access tight spaces. In that regard, this thing is robust enough to perform such tasks brilliantly. It’s not a freakin’ baseball bat. Yes, it’s probably going to crack if a person of average weight accidentally steps on it, you overwork it or flail it around like a darn monkey. But if use this crevice tool “normally” and as intended, rather than manhandling or being too rough with it, then I see absolutely no reason why it shouldn’t serve you well for a long period of time.The suction power of this CT110 is typical and satisfactory, just like any other comparable crevice tool of this size. I use this to vacuum dirt and dust particles--not pick up a bowling ball!--and it performs that function just fine. The nozzle opening measures 1-1/8” long by 3/8” wide. That’s slightly larger than the SHOP-VAC 90616 and 90179 nozzles which both measure slightly smaller at 1” long by 5/16” wide.This CT110 nozzle is identified as being ‘Made in China’. I wish that wasn’t the case, but what else is new? That’s good ‘ole globalization for ya.I’ve attached a side-by-side comparison photo of the three crevice tools mentioned in this review, with their order noted as following: Shop-Vac 90616 Crevice Tool (top), Broan-NuTone CT110 Long Crevice Tool (middle), SHOP-VAC 90179 Flexible Flat Crevice Tool (bottom).In summary, I’m very pleased with my purchase of this Broan-NuTone CT110. Nutone markets basically "contractor grade" products, and that's what this crevice tool is. The tool is has satisfactory thickness for household use, even with a central vac system (as in my case). However, its construction is not robust so it won't stand up to much abuse or commercial use. I'd guess this single piece of molded plastic has a production cost of perhaps $1, yet it's sold for around 14 bucks. What offsets this is that shipping is "free" (as least with Prime), so for the convenience of home delivery I hit the buy button.

Every home should have one. It works great.

It's nice and long perfect for cleaning cars and trucks you know down beside the seat. I've used it for my car but my husband has not cleaned his truck yet lol

You could spend $1000 more, but what more do you need than this?

The suction end is not QUITE as narrow as my original one but still works great. The plastic also seems not quite as firm as my original one, but again, it does what it's supposed to do. It fits well and I love the extra length. I would recommend.
