Brought new life to an old freezer
Works like a charm. I have an Igloo FRF707 upright deep freezer that worked great for years until this year. It's been abused, opened a thousand times a day, and runs in a covered outdoor space. The compressor started to not kick over. It would buzz until the thermal cutoff clicked it off, repeating three or four times until the compressor finally turned over. I replaced the relay and thermocouple to no avail. RCO810 arrived today. I installed the three control leads to the compressor, and one black wire to neutral from the outlet, the other black wire to the live lead coming from the thermostat. Plugged it in and the freezer instantly jumped to life. No humming, no hesitation. I listened to it kick on several times today and it always starts up instantly. Good Job, Supco!

An easy and cheap fix to replace a broken and obsolete freezer start relay
I used one of these to revive a 1995 upright Kenmore freezer that I use for homebrew fermentations. I moved the freezer recently and after letting it sit unpowered for a day when I plugged it in the compressor would start for 5 seconds then cut out though the blower would continue. The freezer wouldn't cool at all. A bit of googling pointed to the start relay as the likely culprit but that part, which is also used in this era's Whirlpool and Fridigaire freezers, was no longer manufactured and the only one I could find was $60 on Amazon. However it was sold in the marketplace and was shipped from overseas so I'd be taking a chance I could not return it if it didn't work. Continuing to look for solutions, I found a youtube video which showed how the Supco 3 n' 1 could be used to replace the start relay and since it was only $11 and sold by Amazon it was a less risky purchase. The only question before buying it was how much horsepower my freezer had, as that determined which Supco I needed to buy. My freezer apparently was 1/5 HP based on a website I found which equated amp and volts to HP so I went with the 810 as opposed to 410 model. Changing out the start relay and installing the Supco then zip tying it in place was about a 15 minute job. Make sure you remove all of the old starter relay so you can see the 3 pins on the compressor where the Supco connects and you then connect the two power wires from the old start relay to those on the Supco. The freezer immediately started working correctly again and has been for about a week. It is running more efficiently that it did with the old start relay based on how much electricity it is using now versus running with the old start relay as shown by my Kill-a-watt meter. Not bad for a 22 year old freezer.

Works Great
I have an inexpensive but cool looking Galanz refrigerator/freezer that stopped working on me. Upon disassembly and testing, I was able to determine that the "protector" had failed however Galanz does not sell or provide access to replacement parts, and even with the technical details available on the protector, I was not able to find one compatible with it's 1/8 HP motor. After a bit of digging with Dr. Google and YouTube, I found references to these Hard Start Kits and decided to try one and see if it would save my retro fridge... it works like a charm! I would have given the unit 5 stars, however the included instructions don't tell you how to wire it into a fridge with a thermostat... the wiring instructions assume a direct connection from the power cord to the hard start kit. Took a bit of additional digging and once I figured out the wiring diagram/process - all works great. I've had the fridge up and running for about 5 weeks after install and so far no issues!

Easy fix
This was an easy fix for my refrigerator. It came with directions that showed precise instructions and easy to follow. The part was shipped very quickly. I had the refrigerator up and going in just a few minutes after receiving the part. This was used on an older refrigerator, so I ordered another starter as a stand by, ready for use.

Back in business!...
I have an Idylis chest freezer that stopped working. I thought it was the thermostat so I replaced it and the freezer still did not work. My next choice was the troubleshooting the compressor, capacitor, etc. when I saw this 3 in 1 start kit on Amazon. Rather than replace single components I purchased and installed this kit and I am back in business! This saved me time and money and it is really simple to install. The three wires go to the three pins on the compressor. Google search will show you how to identify your compressor pins for installation.

Easy fix saved hundreds of dollars on a new fridge
We were given a fridge for free that didn’t cool the person thought the compressor had quit but after watching a video on YouTube we came across this part so we purchased and installed and now the fridge works like new. We saved a lot of money on buying a new fridge…..highly recommend trying this before buying a new fridge.

Good product
Reasonably priced solution if your compressor does not want to start up. Worth a try before calling a technician. Worked for me and saved having to buy a new fridge for the garage. Make sure you you match up the amp draw of your compressor to the unit as there are 3 variations available. There are several videos on Utube to walk you through installation. Fast shipping.
