Great studio lights with powerful and stable output. The diffuser is very useful for interviews because it effectively avoids those annoying hot spots. It does make the light a lot darker, but they are still bright enough.

Spot on lighting with these soft boxes, so soft. suitable for both photo and video since they're continuous and plug in. Quick assembly. The stands are sturdy and the boom arm is flexible and with the sand bag to counter weight the end it's just as sturdy. Excellent package for three point set ups since I can put a soft box on either side of my shot's frame and have the boom stand to angle the third soft box down for all around lighting. Suspends and lowers down without toppling over, super heavy duty. Adjustable and foldable tripods so they can work at any height I need them at. Really appreciate that it came with an energy saving bulb for each box as well and a carrying bag.

I bought it in September of this year and have been using these lights for about 2 months. At first I was very hesitant, and it had no comments yet, btw I have never heard of this brand. But actually they made me very surprised and excited, now I can say that they are perfect, and nothing to complain about! This is a very portable lighting device, everything can be put into the bag, very light and no burden. I think they will continue to work for me, no doubt.

The set is cheaply made and I suppose for this price point it works 'okay' but the boom is useless. The arm refuses to tighten and the weighted bag tore on first use. The plastic parts have snapped and now I cannot adjust anything. So now this set is only the two soft boxes and they are NOT bright at all! In fact I wanted to return it but I lost all the packaging so now I am stuck with a kit I honestly cant use. Its a shame b/c at this price point it should be at least somewhat usable. I see others have experienced breakages and low light source as well so I dont feel alone in wasting my hard earned money.

Whether you're looking for a 3 light setup for portraiture work or for YouTube videos, this is a great cost/performance product. Neewer is a respected brand in the photography industry and for good reason.I recently purchased a similar setup from Neewer with dimmable LED lights with soft boxes. However, I decided to return it and keep this item due to the ease of setup. Other setups require you to take rods and use the rods to create the soft boxes. As soon as I took out the soft boxes from this kit and saw the rods were already integrated; I knew right then that I would be returning the other set I bought that didn't have this feature.Pros: Soft Box Setup. For me the ease of setup is everything when the client is standing there waiting for you to get started.Cons: The stands. I still do not like the stands included in this kit and every other kit that Neewer and other companies commission the maker to continue to make. There is a better way to design how they attach and they just don't bother with trying to get it right.Recommendation: Must Buy when on sale. Otherwise, a nice product to have at standard price.

At first I was very hesitant, cuz there were not many comments at the time. But I have been using it for a few months now. They are very lightweight, so this is a very portable video kit. When you choose to go out, they fold very small and everything is in the bag. They are highly recommended.

Honestly, they are a bit heavy, of course I mean a total weight. The brackets are a good build, they are very stable, especially C-stand. But here is a disappointment. When I put on a sandbag for more stability, it actually shakes. Doesn't matter, not the major disappointment, so I still recommend them."

I used these lights to make a video. They are very bright, although there are only three modeling lights as the light source, but this is exactly what I want to remove the shadows and add "natural" lighting. They are also easy to assemble and disassemble and are lightweight, so I can easily transport them to different locations. I love them!

Not as well made as I had hoped. Stands are lightweight. Need weights to hold down or it will tip over. I use sturdier stands with the lights. Alot of velcro to affix the shade. Lightbulbs are a danger if broken, so must be careful or replace with higher quality LED lights.

Lights look nice and the setup was straight forward. But parts are missing, which is disappointing to say the lease. Seems like it is a higher end setup, but not much good if you spend the money just to have to "make it work" without all the proper parts.
