I absolute love this Masterplug cassette reel. Honestly, it has completely transformed how I maintain my outdoor space. Before buying this, managing my garden was an absolute chore. I have a long, sprawling garden, and my standard power cables could barely reach past the patio. I was constantly battling with tangled, short extension cords linked together, which felt incredibly unsafe and frustrating. I couldn’t comfortably use my electric lawnmower, hedge trimmer, or leaf blower without constantly worrying about pulling a plug out or running out of slack.That hassle is completely gone now. This 10-meter cable gives me the perfect amount of reach to comfortably glide all the way down to the very bottom of my garden without any restriction. Because it features four separate sockets, it acts as a portable power hub. I no longer have to trudge back up to the house just to swap tools. I can plug my lawnmower, hedge trimmer, and grass strimmer all into the reel at the same time. very happy with my purchase, some reviewers are reporting the reel is a bit flimsy and poor to rewind in but i have found it to be ok at this price point, just need a bit of patience and reel cable in gently, the 4 gang sockets and the cut out is a nice touch, very happy.

I needed a light handy small lead as I have a larger unwieldy lead that can be a pain to lug around when you just need to vac the car.I have “lost” 2 similar size handy leads to my kids which are invariably lent out, never to return!However, back to my product review..First impression was great as I spotted that it has an overload resettable trip, which is a good feature to stop excessive cable overload. The plug fuse is rated at 10A in keeping with the cable rating.While the lead will be ok for the occasional light use it will get I did notice that it is a lot more flimsy than my past “lost” leads.When I rewound the lead I noticed the casing flexing more than I would deem adequate for a long life.Rewinding is a little fiddly due to the lack of a handle, this one has a sunken area to the rear to provide grip when rewinding, but is no substitute for a handle.To sum up I think it is a good enough lead for the price I paid but if you are thinking of a lead for any more than light occasion use then I would look at a sturdier product with a handle.In retrospect I would have paid a bit extra for a sturdier product had I have known, but hey ho, it will be ok for the use it will get, it will do.

This MasterPlug four socket extension reel, has a moulded plug protected by 13 amp fuse and has a resettable 13 amp trip within the real, with a cable length of 8 Meters.The plastic is fairly flexible, meaning it bends rather than cracks, yet when winding the real you don’t feel like the plastic is going to break,There is a protective guard where the cable leaves the real to prevent chafing or damaged to the cable, the cable seems very thick, there is also vents on the top of the reel allowing any heat buildup within the reel to radiate out preventing cables from melting,we have been using this cable for the best part of the year now on a heated towel rail, and as yet it has not had a single fault or even tripped onceI would definitely buy this one again, in fact, I’m tempted to buy it again and chopped the 30 amp plug off and fit a 16 amp plug to go onto my generator.

It is very stiff and difficult to wind it up after use

I've tried this brand before and it proved to be reliable. So is thos extension, all parts seems of quality and sturd, and having such a long wire within a cassette is an idea that I always admire in terms of space saving and neat storage.
