My Halogen Oven bulb stopped working and I decided to try and replace. My JML oven is quite an old one unlike the new ones which now have a slot to change bulb. This bulb was an execellent choice and great value for money as you get the bulb, new clips and the ceramic block which makes it so much easier. Firstly my advice check Youtube for help as it has step to step help. You unscrew the main fan and side clips and the first cover comes off. Take the inner fan off and loosen the next screws but no need to unscrew completely. Cut the wire off old bulb leaving enough to join using the ceramic block. Gently connect the wires to block and just slip it under the loosened cover. No need to screw it or attach as it sits nicely underneath. Put everything back and hey presto a new working Halogen Oven. I’ve used it several times and it’s fine for under 10 pounds a repaired Halogen Oven. I am so pleased as my oven cost me over £80 at the time and repaired for a Tena. Advice: measure bulb size of old one. Secondly if unsure take a photo of each section so you know where all goes. I highly recommend you having a go rather then buy a new oven.

Did the job for my old JML halogen oven & still working several months later. The clips didn't fit this particular oven so used the original one's.

Pain to fit

I bought this after a big bang on my oven made it inoperable. It arrived promptly and was easy enough to fit, albeit requiring total dismantling of the oven! Unfortunately, it didn't fix the oven which refused to do anything(yes, I'd changed the fuse!). It looks like the fan motor has blown too. Given the price of an oven, it will be cheaper/easier to just buy a new unit. Or I might splurge on one of the new generation of multi-cookers - I do love a gadget...

The bulb in our halogen cooker wasnt working so looked into buying a new halogen cooker but couldn't get one anywhere online or in store so saw this replacement bulb and thought why not give it a try for the sake of spending £7 as we use our cooker every day and would be lost without it. The bulb arrived on time and came with a heat resistant connection block which was quite large. I would say it is easy to fit for anyone with a little electrical knowledge, the hardest part is actually taking the halogen oven to bits and getting it back together was a bit of a faff but with a bit of patience I now have a working halogen again for a very reasonable price. All in all a great buy😁👍👌

Met all requirements

I purchased this for the second time in January 2025 for a newer halogen oven where that blub had gone and once securely fitted, it lasted only 5 days. I have not replaced it since, instead I have been using my cooker rather than waste money.
