No good at all
I had this bought for me by future pathways scotland and it just did not work for me. It takes too many scans too many environmental changes for anything to even begin to appear like it might work. I had it returned and had everything inside the box including the little animal. The seller refused to accept the return and i refused to take the scanner back too. I also got another rubbish scanner and sent that junk back too.

Disappointing. Feels cheap and resolution let's it down.
It's just not worth the money. For well over £700, it's just too plasticy. The technology is just not there yet. It may be OK as a (expensive) toy or for very basic, plain objects, but the accuracy is not good enough for any usage that requires precision and it really struggles with certain colours, too much light, reflective surfaces, complex shapes etc. You certainly couldn't use it to accurately replicate most things by then printing on a 3D printer - you just lose too much definition and accuracy. The software is pretty decent, however, and works pretty intuitively, however it's let down by what the scanner hands to it. I ended up returning this for a refund, but if they upped the build quality (etc. metal case? higher quality threaded rod and quieter stepper motor?) and improved the resolution, I might consider buying a future version.
