OUTSTANDING - HELPS YOU SAVE TIME AND ELBOW GREASE !!!!!!
Purchased it as a Christmas present to myself. Have cleaned 6 handguns (autos) and 1 AR. I was able to clean the handguns in one day. Works as advertised. I have no complaints with the Hot Tub itself. Three items which do not effect the use. (1) They don't tell you, but no cleaning fluid come with the unit. (2) The instruction manual is minimal. I was frustrated when I got it as I thought it was broken. Wrong. What the instructions don't tell you is there is an off/on switch next to where the power cord plugs into the unit - DUH. The manual also talks about using various temperatures and length of time for cleaning. However, it does not have a recommended chart or give you any examples. (3) There is no talk of using a ultrasonic lubricant. Horady apparently does not make one, but there are several manufactures who make lubricants for use in a sonic cleaner. Sure makes it easy to apply it to the entire weapon. Back to cleaning, the unit appears to clean the weapons well. There is little/no carbon or residue left on the weapon. I am extremely happy with the unit. There is some discussion regarding the unit heating in some of the reviews I have read. I have only used the lowest temperature (104) and the unit has come to temperature within the shortest timing period (5 minutes). Also be sure to have an air compressor so you can dry the weapon faster and ensure the moisture is removed from the internal components of of the weapon (using sonic lubricant also does this). I recommend you purchase the cleaner and lubricant or you won't be able to do anything. I have also found a plastic food saver container which about the same size a the large basket which comes with the unit. I have used it to keep the cleaning solution in the sonic unit and to place my handgun parts in it and to lubricate the handgun parts.

Good Cleaner
I really like this Sonic Clearner. Much more than I originally thought I would. I bought it for reloading brass cases. I already have a wet tumbler and a dry media tumbler, both of which I use outside because they are on the noisy side. I bought the Hornady to clean inside the house on those super hot, or cold, days. And it's been great for those occasions. It's pretty quiet and so it's no problem to use in the house. The other thing about sonic cleaning is that the contaminants stay in the water, so it's it is a benign way of cleaning as well. Also, it's a very 'civilized', or tidy, way to clean brass. No dust or water all over the place. Lol, it's almost like being a 'gentleman' hobbyist. Sonic cleaning, in this cleaner, is excellent for cleaning smaller batches, say, seventy five 5.56 cases. You pick the amount of time, five minutes for a light clean, and twenty for for a bit more. The cleaner will take all the carbon off, for sure, with the exception of the stuff in the primer pocket, where it will leave the majority in place. But you get clean brass to handle, say for decapping, or to lube and size, anneal, or trim. That's very nice, because it is more involved getting out the other tumblers. You do have to let the brass dry, but after rinsing, you can put it in a cut-off-pant-leg, mangle it around a little, and get most all of the wet off of the brass which cuts drying time considerably. Anyway, you might consider buying this cleaner, because as I said, I like mine a lot more than I thought I would, and I use it more than I thought I would as well.

using no heat as recommended in the manual
Just what you would expect form Hornady, outstanding. I have been reloading since the mid 1970's, using the corncob or walnut tumbling media with the polish added. Never again. I bought this along with the Hornady One Shot Case cleaner and one shot gun parts cleaner. First, I can get over 300 223/5.56 cases in the basket. I fill it to the line with the mixed solution and, using no heat as recommended in the manual, turn it on for 30 minutes de-gassing the solution, grab a cup if coffee and it is done!. Anyone that shoots an AR15 gas impingement system knows how dirty the cases can get. They come out of the Hornady Sonic Cleaner clean inside and out and ready for loading. I follow the instructions for use, using distilled water to mix the solution. One important note. Do not de-cap and resize your brass before you clean them! Yes if you do the Cleaner will get the primer pockets clean. However, to do that you are running a dirty case through your die. Do you really want to do that? After they have gone through the cleaning process I put them in the kitchen sink and rinse them thoroughly. Then I roll them in an absorbent towel to remove the excess. I put them in a food dehydrator for about 30 minutes and voila! They are dry inside and out. Another important step is to use Hornady Dry Shot Case Lubricant. Forget the grease. It is a mess and eventually will clog your dye. A light spray with the Dry Lube, wait a minute or two and start resizing your cases. Now you can clean the primer pocket. I use the Sonic cleaner with the Parts Cleaner to clean the bolts in all my rifles ever my Nickle Boron AR bolt. With this process I use the pre heat and de-gassing and after 30 minutes, the parts are clean. I do use a B.O.N.E tool for the bolt before it goes into the solution. Another outstanding product from the leader in the field, Hornady

There is a learn curve
This thing dose a great job cleaning gun parts the only problem I have with it is it takes about 20 minutes to get the temperature to 122 degrees which is where I like to to run the tube at. You have plenty of room for multiple hand guns.Even with the tube empty the device is still heavy I haven’t used it to clean any ar parts yet I have cleaned a 9mm carbine and had plenty of room in the tube it did a great job I love it so far

Small but just right
I have the larger Honady tumbler but wanted something smaller and this fit the bill. I can only hope it lasts as long as the larger one I already own. That one is over 15 years old and still working like a champ. The size is just right for small batches of brass.

Very good for the less finicky
I like this very much for cleaning primer pockets, though I will concede that sometimes there’s a small speck left behind. Its not a deal breaker by any means. Clean pockets means it’s easier to put in a new primer. Exteriors come out extremely well, not quite factory shine. If you want a sparkly factory polished case, then sonic clean them, re-prime, then toss em in the tumbler media for 30 minutes. There’s no reason to get super critical over slightly less than factory shine, this isn’t a fashion show. Lets move on to some high praise. Molly’s Place ……..This is actually my 2nd unit. The 1st one showed up, nonfunctional. Meaning the sonic transducer was defunct! Disappointing, yes. That very day (evening) I requested an exchange here on Amazon. The vendor, Mollys Place had a new one on the way the next morning (FedEx). The new unit functioned perfectly! I can’t sing enough thanks about the seamless and painless effort from Molly’s Place. They treated me so very well. Thank you once again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Mollys Place

Wish I Had Bought This Earlier
I purchased this for cleaning my firearms. It does a good job of that, but sometimes the slide or frame, as well as the smaller parts need a once over with the cleaning brush to get all the carbon off the metal. Still, it sure beats using solvents and scrubbing the gun to clean it. About the only "gripe" I have is that the basket and tub are too small to completely submerge the frame of compact (G19, G23, etc) and lager guns. Smaller pistols, such as the G42, G43, and J-Frame type Revolvers will fit in the basket. I've read reviews of other sonic cleaners and folks complain a lot about the noise they make. The Hornady is not noisy at all. I can run it in the living room while watching television and it is not bothersome at all. I am really satisfied with my Hornady Sonic Cleaner, and I think for the price, it is a solid value.

Works Great!
I think it works better than advertised. This is a mix of .357 and 9mm. Some of the .357 are more than 30 years old and been fired several times. The 9mm are mostly new, but being how filthy the .357s were, I think this machine using the cleaner recommended for it worked super great. It’s not a tumbler, but this thing works damn good and it’s quiet and quick. Even primer pockets on old brass came super clean. Highly recommended 👍.
