What I was looking for, just lacks performance where I need it.
The antenna works. It just doesn't allow for very good reception or broadcast over a very far distance due to its stubby nature. I will likely switch back to the original longer antenna that came with my radio. Very fast shipping from seller, great price. Just not quite what I need for my radio.

Terrible range
I bought this to replace the long antenna on my radio and nearly immediately noticed my radio giving me an "out or range" alert in the next city over. I was only about 7 miles from my station and was not able to hear radio traffic. Do not use this antenna if you're a first responder!!!!!!
