From a values for money point of view I would give this 5 stars, from an importance point of view I would also give this 5 stars, but so far this has been our least faverite series. I would have given the execution of the story 3 stars this is why I would round it to 4 stars. Tom learns of past and a prophecy of his destiny. He is also introduced to someone from his past he believed long gone, the thing is my kids actually worked out who the character was one book in the was actually drawn out till book 5 of this series.

All the stories were here but they are not from the same editions so from the side they don't run sequentially - sounds picky but when you are collecting them all it stands out that they are different. Packaging was torn, edges were tatty, quality just not there.

My son loved this series and these books have been instrumental in turning him into an independent reader. This series appeals to a sense of adventure, with two likable main characters children can identify with. I would recommend reading the books in order as they build on each other and are much harder to understand if previous series have not been read.

I Ordered these books for my son for holiday reading and he hasn't put them down since, they are really great stories ( i have read a few chapters to him at bedtime) full of adventure and escapism perfect for boys 7-8 upwards and great for their reading without them even realising it. The service and delivery was super fast and everything was in perfect condition.

My 8 year old son loves these books, and gets great enjoyment out of them. He finds some of the words are difficult, but he now knows to bring those words to us and we explain them to him in the context of the book. The pack of books is very good value.

Present for grandson who has already read series 1-4. Good value for money
