charged the product in the sun for 4 days and tried to hook up and there was no charger in the unit what so ever.

High Dollar Junk
Found the charger not working at all. I did some basic trouble shooting, batteries were both fully charger but no output.Called the service dept. to see if I could get a new PC board and they told me they did not sell that part and that I would have to try and search for the board on line myself. Well no luck there....saved both 6 volt batteries and solar panel and rest going in trash.

Horrible/Not reliable
I have had this product for two years and I have had nothing but trouble from it. I made sure everything was done according to the manual and DVD.Problems vary from:power losspower fluctuates constantlybatteries do not hold a chargeAnd now, it does not work at all.(PLUS) Customer Service is absolutely horrible.This is a super expensive piece of junk.

Good charger. Not quite as powerful as I had hoped but is keeping my sheep in so far. They are in a pretty small pasture with a very clean line though. Biggest complaint: It has a 'winter' and 'summer' setting with the 'off' in between (three positions on the toggle). The 'off' position does not have a very clear position so I have repeated been shocked by a charger I thought was off but was actually on the other setting.

We have 4 of these solar fence chargers and they all perform well. The only reason we gave the product 4 stars is because of the winter-off-summer switch. It does not have good, definite stops between the three positions and one can easily believe that the unit is OFF while it is still ON.
