I used (expensive) adhesive Velcro strips to secure it to the floor. Otherwise it’s just a slip hazard on the stairs. Downside is the Velcro strips’ adhesive can’t withstand being washed. So no real great solution without modifying it permanently. .

Ordered these so our older dog could use the stairs. Very helpful.

We bought these to use on the wood stairs so our small dog would have some traction. They work very well for that, but we also noticed they do a great job of cutting down on noise as we troop up and down the stairs. They did move a little - not necessarily while we used them, but over time - so i got some double sided carpet tape and tacked them down on the edges. Seems to be holding them in place so they don't get misaligned with each other (if that kind of thing bothers you - it's a visual nightmare for me, but not like a safety issue or anything).

Came quickly. Very nice light grey. They are only 8 1/2 in. wide, not 9 but they look ok. My old stair treads were longer but the sizes in treads seemed to have gotten shorter. I liked that you could by extra.

Love them . Lovely color and just what I was looking for for my stairs . A++++++ The color is like silver . Really beautiful .Stay in place perfectly. Makes my stairs Safer for my little dog to go up and down.

I love how these stair treads look! They are thinner carpet, with some squares plusher than others. Just fine for my finished basement steps.They aren't adhesive backed, so I used double sided tape to hold them in place.And if the cuteness of the treads wasn't enough, in the bottom of my package was a "surprise gift"-- a matching mat! I'm a sucker for a company that gives that little extra for their customers!

These are really nice, love the color that wife selected. I greatly appreciated the nice surprise in the box as well. I do however, if you are putting on wooden stairs as we did. Get tape to put under them, they do slide as you walk. They are not slippery .... It is the OCD kicking in because they won't stay as you step off.

They’re nice and kind of plushy under the feet but a bit short for my taste.
