Works. My GPU is flipped 180 degrees. Cable runs from the board along the backside of the card to the connector with a 90 degree and without a twist in the cable.

No issues with my 4090. Over a year.

Works well so far. Only downside is that I get much better cooling when mounted regularly. The aesthetic matters more to me than a 4-6 degree difference. I am still well under 80 degrees.
