Who designed this? Read all the reviews and believe the bad ones.
I read reviews and I find many are on both ends of the spectrum. People love things, people hate things. There are horror stories and no issues. This makes it a real challenge to trust what you can expect until you try it out yourself.I can tell you the horror stories are true for this product.Out of the box it is an elegant looking device and while it is mostly plastic, I wouldn't say it looks or feels cheap. All that ends when you try to install it. It is basically 3 parts: glass plate cover, switch pcb carrier, and mounting frame.Pop it all apart, mount the frame to the gang box, check.Wire the switch pcb carrier per the instructions, check.Try to snap switch pcb carrier to mount frame, nearly impossible without damaging something.I will go a step further by saying that as you attempt to compress the wires back into the gang box, the switch pcb carrier flexes and damage to the circuit board is likely at that point. The daughter board actually popped out of the carrier revealing a second circuit board underneath attached by a dual row of 100mm headers. It was pretty easy to put them back together, but irrelevant. There is no way to reconnect the switch pcb carrier to the frame without something being maligned because the screws that connect the wires stick out from the side of the unit. This is perplexing because unless the screws are completely flush (screwed all the way in) they cannot pass through the mount frame. In other words, you cannot wire the switch and then connect it to the mount without grossly deforming the mounting plate to wedge the screws past it.Even if you manage this, the next challenge is getting the two to remain connected to each other. The cheap plastic tabs that snap the two together are not strong enough to hold if pressure from the wires in the gang box are pushing back against the switch AT ALL. And there is no room around the mounting frame to use a tool to tuck or otherwise adjust the wire positions behind the switch.I wrote this long review to communicate that this is a poorly designed installation method for an otherwise great switch and will end in frustration or damage for even the best DIY person. I did get this switch installed and working. After just a few minutes of operating it, the frame a carrier separate again leaving me with no other choice but to completely remove it and send it back for a refund.

Weak clips making mounting impossible
I've installed about half a dozen light switches and this is my 3rd light switch. It is not easy to install into an older 2 gang metal electrical box.Major design flaw in my opinion is that the entire switch clips into a mounting bracket with 4 very weak and flimsy clips. All the stiff romex wiring has to be pushed back in and held in place by 2mm clips. In my case the wires were too strong and pushed the clips out of the mounting bracket.I ended up returning it.SUGGESTED DESIGN CHANGE: have the switch screw into its mounting plate and then just have the glass faceplate "snap" into place over it.2nd complaint: it shorted out and stopped working after only 15 minutes.3rd: My SmartThungs hub only detected it as 1 switch not 2. So the device handler probably needs to be improved.

Neat, but flawed
This device is a mixed bag. It does what it set out to do - be a Z-Wave, touchscreen, dual switch - but only barely. Be prepared to do a little DIY modification to get it installed correctly. I gave it three stars because it does what I need it to do - but don't expect a beautiful, modern switch. I can't speak for reliability yet, but I'm not expecting this to have a long life.Pros: - It paired quickly - It has some neat features, like being able to set the indication lights (blue when off and pink when on, dark when off and red when on, or blue or dark with no on/off indication). - It's one of a very few dual switches that fit in a single gang box - It's fully supported by OpenHABCons: - Installation sucked, because the screws that hold the wires don't actually fit in the frame unless there are no wires attached to them. I had to carve a chunk out of the frame to get it to fit. - It also doesn't fit flush; it clicks in place, but it's only barely hanging in there. - The touchscreen sometimes doesn't respond; usually it takes over a second to change state. - The touchscreen seems poorly centered; I can turn my lights on at the edge, but poking the middle of the glowing circle rarely does anything. - If you poke it too many times, it freaks out and refuses to do anything. Do *that* too often, and it resets itself. - There is no way to fit it in anything but a single-gang box - It mounts vertically, unless you install your box sideways, so don't believe any sideways installation pictures - While I'm used to the 'clunk' of the relay inside smart switches, the relay in this sounds like a gong going off. It is significantly louder than any other switch I've used. - There is no way to dim (or brighten) the LED indicators - While you can set colors, you can't set the switches independently - The overall feel of the switch reeks of "cheap"; it feels flimsy and delicate, which is not what a glass touchscreen should feel like.

Excellent smart switch to replace Sonos/Wifi ones!
I would give it 5 stars since it was so easy to set up and very compatible with most all smart hubs with quick reaction time. My only issue was the installation. It has a back bracket for the screws which is nice to put the wires through however when putting into the gang box, the wires will push the switch out and the hooks to the screw bracket are not strong enough making it pop out. Had to really do some bending and wire placement work to get it flush to the wall. Or another option would be to get another bracket which I may do.

This device will not fit into a single gang electrical box
This device will not fit into a single gang box. You may be able to fit it into a double gang with a mud-ring attached, but even then, the terminal screws extend by as much as a tenth of an inch, depending on wire thickness, beyond the plastic housing. If used this way, it will require careful insulation. The logo on the face plate significantly detracts from an otherwise pleasing appearance.
