Easy to install, easy to read.

For the money it cant be beat! It works perfectly and is easy to read. Stays attached to my seayak even in transport and no problems at all.

Very easy to read from the cockpit glasses or not. Accurate. It is not illuminated or glow in dark which I would like. A small led perhaps. Also I hate using my deck bunjis to hold it. It slips left or right a bit. I did mount it semipermanently with industrial quality Velcro. Taking the bunjis mounts off was easy removing 2 small screws. But it doesnt come with a fully flat base. I had to grind the plastic ears where the screws went in and the base is circular so plenty of mounting room. Have been using this for a couple months now and it has apparently gotten a leak. Big bubble appeared over the weekend. I treat my gear well so I'm disappointed. UPDATE: I emailed the company on the leak.they They just asked for a picture of the bubble. I got a replacement no questions asked in 2 days. Great customer service.

This would not be a good compass for a kayak if it breaks so easily...

About twice as large as the similar Brunton compass (fluid became yellowish after 8 yrs) it will be replacing. Might have to flue some soft padding on base so it won't be tippy on a curved kayak deck.

I ordered this compass for an upcoming trip into the wilderness of Michigan. I added appropriately spaced attachment points to my Kayak and was very pleased with the presentation, the ease of viewing from my seat and the size of the compass. Al was perfect until I went to do something to the boat later that day. I found that both tethers on one side of the compass had separated from the housing. At first I thought I had stretched them too tight, but found that there really wasn't that much tension on them. They simply weren't securely attached to begin with. On a positive note, it happened in my garage where I could do something about it rather than in the middle of BFE. I inserted the tethers as far I could and used Gorilla Glue to bind them. So far they are holding. Would have given a solid five stars if the separation had not occurred.

Very happy to have a non-electronics way to get out of a fog bank. I feel much more comfortable out in my kayak in the gulf now.

We have a couple of 14ft sea kayaks and we didn't want to drill holes in our boats. This compass fits snuggly and takes accurate readings for direction. We have used it for a few weeks now and so far so good. Worth the price!

La bussola è ok. Gli elastici per fissarla no. Troppo corti. Si evitano due viti a croce lateralmente e si sostituisce l'elastico , mettendo 4 moschettoni marini all'estremitá.

Tiene un tamaño suficientemente grande como para poder verla bien (aunque en la descripción pone que mide 10cm, en realidad la base mide 9cm de diámetro), pero funciona correctamente y el precio es más realista que otras marcas más caras innecesariamente.Buena compra.

Have used it on both kayak and canoe trips. Very handy.
