I don't see the whitening agent mentioned. Is bleach used to whiten these?

Caboo’s paper products use both hydrogen peroxide and an elemental chlorine free bleaching process. Elemental Chlorine Free (or ECF) is a safer alternative which does not use chlorine gas and prevents the formation of dioxins and other harmful chemicals.

This is produced in China. Thoughts on this?

These are some of the only tissues that don't aggravate my allergies. They don't leave behind any fluff when you take them out of the box like the name brands do and they don't contain any weird lotions or chemicals that cause the skin on my nose to peel and sometimes bleed like some of the name brands do. I don't care where this item is produced as long as they keep producing it, so I can keep buying it.

Are the tissues compostable/biodegradable?

Our toilet paper is biodegradable, but all our paper products are inherently compostable. However, we suggest to contact your local composting facility to see if they allow these products to be included for composting. Some municipalities do not allow as they cannot predict what purpose these products will be used for.
