Fixed metal chair joint solid as a rock
I did some research before purchasing this product. I had a chair to fix and wondered if I needed it welded. Turns out J-B Weld is all it needed. Wow, I am sure amazed. It is very clean and easy to work with, and it works quickly. It forms as hard as a rock after 15 mins. Amazing chemical engineering. It fixed the metal crossbar attachment point on my chair very solidly. Check the load requirements of your project first though.

A must for curb rash repair!
Definitely a must buy for curb rash repair. Easy to follow instructions. Easy to mix, good work time, dries quickly. It bonded like metal, yet easy to sand down. Definite value for money. My wheels look new again!

Works as advertised
This stuff didn’t work for my use case, but this stuff does get hard (pause) and does work as advertised. This stuff doesn’t work on things that are under intense constant pressure, but for less intensive jobs and rebuilding threads, its great. Beware it has a terrible odor too lol

6 stars if I could
I've been using this stuff for years. Product description says "Body repair putty." I think you would do better with "Bondo" for large areas. Steel Stick seems to be better suited for filling in holes and building up small areas. Most recently, I used it to patch a hole in a mower deck. For this application, I mixed in some aluminum dust from filings as an experiment. I first prepped the area with a finish remover wheel in an electric drill and then wiped down the area with lacquer thinner.Although Steel Stick is supposed to cure in an hour, best to let it set overnight. Steel Stick rough sands easily with 100 grit paper and smooths as expected with 220 or better. For extra strength, I backed the other side of the repair with aluminum screen and glued that down with JB Weld 2-part. Repair looks good. We'll see how it holds up for the next mowing.By the way, it's a dollar cheaper to buy 2 individual 2-oz tubes rather than a 2-pak. So much for economy in numbers.

My favorite inexpensive epoxy to use when pillar bedding rifle stocks.
This is my favorite compound to use when glass bedding a rifle stock. This epoxy is inexpensive compared to other brands, has a good amount of product, and is so easy to use even a caveman could do it. If used judiciously as directed, leakage and messiness is minimal. This product dries hard, and has a dark gray appearance when dry. Be aware that if your spouse is as sensitive to strong smells as mine is, you might have to use this outside or in a detached garage. My wife hates the smell of this stuff when wet. Use lots of release agent and make sure that you apply this stuff where you want it otherwise once dry this stuff is hard, and takes some effort to grind off or cut unless using power tools.

Great when duct tape and glue won't work.
Very strong and sticks well. I used some to make hooks for my outdoor concrete wall, and attached a light net to it to keep hawks and owls away from my cats. (I saw hawks watching them and got freaked out.) We live in an apartment where we can't drill holes into the concrete in order to hang things. This epoxy putty was perfect. I molded the hooks with a 180 degree curve so the net can't slip off in the wind. They dried in just a few hours.I wouldn't hang anything heavy from my hommade hooks, and I wouldn't trust the net I hung to stand up to pressure, or cat-escapes, but I just needed the hooks to stay in place through wind-storms and rain. We live on the third floor so I'm not worried about kitty-escape-artistry. If a bird-of-pray does try to attack them my thin net will tangle it up long enough for the cats to run away. So far, I guess the hawks saw the net because they are no longer starring at my balcony like a restaurant-menu (although I still hear them all the time. I hear great horned owls too.)I also used a good amount of this putty to wrap around a power cube outlet (indoor.) The conuit is split at the joint, exposing the wires inside (which still have their individual wraps in tact.) Tape won't hold it together in this case, because the cable moves too much. I wrapped the putty along the cable, over the break, and then molded fingers to extend around the cube. It works well, and the wires are protected again. $$ saved!

Did not hold for us.
We used this to reattach a 3 inch muffler on a truck in the back hanging area since the weld broke. While we felt this would be a temp fix, it did not last. In arizona dry heat , it sat for 2 days to dry and was held up temporarily to secure the mix but once we drove after thinking it was secured, it did not and muffler was bouncing again. Maybe my application was tough much but I'll stick with real weld for this issue I have
