Super impressed, these work great!
I had the 1/4" NPT ball valve thread break off deep in the thread of my air compressor tank drain port, and I was struggling to find a good way to remove it. My internal pipe wrenches only go down to 3/8 pipe size, and all the other threaded extractors at the local stores are little short stubby things that wouldn't reach down inside the threaded hole far enough. Well these popped up while searching for a solution, and for the price I couldn't resist giving them a try. I am very happy that I did, the exractor I used did the job beautifully. I used an adjustable wrench and cranked on the extractor, and it dug deep into the brass before finally overcoming the factory thread locker and rust to remove the broken off end of the valve. The chunk came out easily, and there was no damage to the threads in the tank aside from the damage done by the original valve when it broke off. These extractors just work, especially if the fitting is made of a softer metal like brass, bronze, copper, or cast iron. If you have a tough to remove fitting then these are exactly what you need.

Definitely works. Worth the money.
Worked wonderfully. I needed it to fix my shower. A piece of the plastic remained glued in the pipe. Easier to just remove that piece of plastic than to remove the entire piece of pipe, right? Wrong. I found the proper size to fit and get the piece of glued plastic out. It would not stay put so I had to give it a little tap-tap-tap-a-roo just to get it started. Bad idea. It has been wedged in there ever since I bought this tool. It will not turn, it will not come back out so, it is a permanent fixture on my shower until I feel like removing the entire bathtub and repairing the shower. Screw that. I have another bathroom with shower. But the sucker works TOO great. I'm glad I bought it. It is good to have tools for the house. Once I get this removed, I'll put it back into its cool carrying case and be ready for the next time. Just don't tap it with a hammer to get it started.

Broken pipe easy out.
Worked fine but I was removing a broken pipe (1/2”) and only the largest tool could be used. For plumbing 1/2” is about the smallest so the rest of the kit will not be that helpful for normal work. Case is well made, and the price was very reasonable. Thanks

Worked like a champ!
I had my shower head pipe break off in the wall leaving some of the threading behind in the pipe. That was unexpected and unfortunate. I immediately bought a set of Husky nipple extractors from Home Depot and they were a complete flop, they wouldn't catch on the piece I needed to extract so just turned in the hole, doing nothing. I then did a little research and ended up buying these. Absolutely perfect!! I used the largest one and had the broken piece of the pipe extracted in minutes.

Not for harder materials...
If you buy this set to extract anything harder than copper you may be disappointed. I'm giving this product a generous 3 stars based on the cheap price and because it did work on my specific application this time but I don't have high expectations that it will work in harder materials. I needed a #8 and could have spent more than this entire set cost on a single quality extractor bit but since it was so inexpensive I thought I would get the set just to have the other sizes on hand for future use. While the extractor did remove the stuck brass cartridge the bit suffered some minor damage to the threads. I haven't tried it on anything harder yet but I don't have confidence that it will stand up to iron pipe or certainly not hardened steel so consider your intended use before buying or just spend the difference to buy a higher quality tool.
