Do not buy: Not a diet cooker
Handle is just stuck with glue or whatever .... Refer Picture to see that it just fell off the cooker1) it does not strain the Kanji/ Starch2) After boiling the rice at the bottom is always slimy and sticky3) This mechanism does not separate the starch out4) Just an eye wash5) High priced for what this could offer6) Better to remove Rev Starch from the Olsen methods though it’s cumbersome7) Compare to see the older methods consume lesser fuel8) Basically open cooking method is health : here It is not so9) Pressure cooking is unhealthy : even this does the same10) It’s just a short cut and unproven method to claim a diet cooking as it does not complya ) open cookingb) unpressurized cookingc) Strain of Starch

Confusion over specification
Actually I was about order starch remover 3 L capacity, at that time 3L cooker with starch remover looks with better offer attracted me. Unfortunately, the starch remover used in 3L cooker is not of 3L capacity, it is only 1.9L. Because of this confusing specification I landed up in receiving very smaller insufficient unit, cursing myself. Please beware 1.9L starch remover is supplied in 3L cooker, and 3.0L starch remover is supplied with 5.5L cooker.Be cautious about the capacity while choosing and ordering, otherwise you will land up in unwanted things delivered. Also, don't get lured with the offers, look with great care about the specifications, many a times it can be more confusing.Cooker locking /closing is fuzzy, be careful in using otherwise it will end up in wrong closure and the same is very difficult to open it back - it will be a tough time.

Are u curipous to know this product.
It is ok to have Kanji filtered in this Cooker which reduces calories. It is really a good invention. The problem is sometimes cooked rice is having water which looks odd. Of course it is dependent on the nature of rice we use. The co should do some more testing on water quantity to be used on various rice and include it in their brochure instead of standard measurement of water for cooking. Otherwise it is really good.

Overall Performance is GOOD. A gap between base plate attached to the vessel is uncomfortable to clean starch cannot be removed if it get dry. Remedy immediate wash is needed to that vessel.

Don’t believe the bad reviews. It is the best cooker
With a 5.5ltr ultra diet cooker You can use 1/4kg rice at a time. Like you can serve 3-4 people at a time. As mentioned in some bad reviews it doesn’t stick to the bottom nor the is not watery. “If you use one part rice pour three part water and leave it for 5 whistle”. You get beautifully cooked rice. It doesn’t get soggy. For better results Just follow the instructions in catalogue and don’t implement your ideas.

Don't waste your money on this!
Bought this after reading the positive reviews but was left utterly disappointed. If you add the normal quantity of water like you always do, it doesn't remove any starch. But if you add more amount of water - in 1:5 ratio as suggested by some people - the rice turns into a paste fit for feeding to babies without teeth! In a nutshell, it consumes...1. Way more effort than a regular cooker.2. Way more gas than a regular cooker.3. Way more time than a regular cooker.Only to NOT deliver what it promises.
