Collected Stories [Paperback] Marquez, Gabriel Garcia

I've read almost all books of Gabriel Garcia Marquez but this compilation of short stories truly shows the writer's mastery of his special literary genre. The author takes the reader to a dream like state where neither light nor darkness but gloomy dusk prevails. Every story is a new world, new thought and new experiment of Postmodernism style. If one is kin to know Gabo's genius, he shouldn't miss a single story of Eyes of A Blue Dog. This treatise is a good read and of course the money is worth spent as there are three books in a single compilation.

I had paid ₹239 while purchasing it, and the same amount was credited from my account. Plus ₹40 delivery charges. But it was printed as ₹218 in the bill, with ₹40 as delivery charges. I wonder which third party has dipped the change in amount....!

This book is truly a must read.It has 26 amazing stories written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.The Last Voyage of the Ghost Ship,One of These Days,The Other Side of Death - these are some of the wonderful stories in this book.It is definitely worth reading.

Excellent Nobel Prize author, my daughter is enjoying a bit of Latin literature.

What an epic writer. This book is interesting because the stories are written from the time the author is 21 until he is in his thirties. You can see him grow as a writer through each story and they just get better. Some of them are very bizarre and intriguing and the later ones have the same color, lush vocabulary and humor as all of Marquez' famous novels. The book also arrive in great condition and sooner than I expected.

Amazing Latin American literature. If you want to read something different this is a very good option of this Nobel prize for literature.
