This product is a combination of both one of the best in photography and best in book publishing.Best product for collectors and people who like gems like these to adorn their bookshelves.

It is an absolutely beautiful book , did I think that the photos could have been better planned especially some which got spoilt by being embedded in the fold ! But despite all that it is a beautiful book !

One the best photography books ever

This is such a beautiful book,and it was on discount when I got it: £22. Beautifully produced breathtaking photography of some of the parts of our planet which industrial society has not yet ruined. Some of the double-page spreads are just too beautiful. Salgado is one of the best photographers of our times.

Beautiful photographs, beautifully presented well done Taschen. This book has so many photographs it is very heavy and difficult to hold but worth the effort. It was an achievement for Salgado to visit so many continents and record the events happening on the ground for others to see and appreciate. The cover photograph is spectacularly beautiful.

A truly stunning series of images by one of the great masters of photography. Taken over a decade and encompassing Salgado's move from film to digital, a breathtaking picture is revealed with every page turn. This is a visual feast, superbly reproduced and printed, you will not be disappointed.

What can I say about this photographer? just looking at these photographs is spellbinding,Sebastiao has to be one of the greatest photographers ever, his photographic eye is amazing and the quality! out of this world, it is a thick heavy book and that's because of the amount of photographs,I see a lot of reviewers complaining about a lot of the photographs being over two pages, I don't get that, these photographs are in complete register and need to be seen large for impact, the print quality of this book is the best I have ever seen at any price,If you like monochrome photography it doesn't come any better than this, absolutely stunning.

Absolutey astonishing images, everyone who has seen my copy of this has been enthralled by it. Such a shame that some of the landscape pictures have been put on a double spread with the spine seam down the middle, I can't believe that really! But it is still amazing and so glad I bought it.
