I have two laptops, one for work and one for home, both Dell, but different models. However, the power adapter had always been interchangeable. Well, work recently rolled out new laptops, and of course, the new laptop power adapter is smaller. I rolled the dice on this, having had mixed results with similar products, and was gladly surprised. Not only does it work, there's also a spare! The only downside is that if you don't position the adapter on a table with enough slack, and let it hang off of the table, lap, couch, or whatever, it does have a tendency to put additional pressure on the pin. I could see it posing a future problem if left to pull down all of the time, but as long as you're aware and don't let that happen, you should be good. Works great and is a helluva lot cheaper than buying an entire power brick!!

Excellet to go from traditional Dell power source with fat barrel to Dell laptops requiring skinny barrel plugs for power. As a note what the hell is wrong with Dell, newer models use skinny barrel or even usb type C... all incompatible with traditional power sources with fat barrel plugs

These are great - you can use your pile of old Dell adapters - leave one at your desk another in the living room, and keep the small light one that came with your computer in your computer bag - ready to go with you. These are well made, fit nicely, and solved my problem.

This product is a simple and cost-effective way to extend the life of older unused Dell laptop power adapters with 7.4 mm barrel connectors. As a bonus, they come two to a pack.

It takes a while, but the wires break off at the end of the plug - needs a heavier wire - had to re-purchase. Would buy again despite flimsy construction.

The original adapter failed. Laptop wouldn't charge because the third wire had broken. Dell uses a third wire to determine charger legitimacy and this broken wire prevented charging. Disection of this adapter found the broken wire. This replacement fixed the problem.

These are great additions to old Dell power bricks that uses larger barrel sizes. There is a center pin in the thinner barrel as someone else stated in the reviews there is no center pin. You still have to use the correct wattage power brick with your devices. A 65w rated Dell power brick will throw an error when used with a device that requires 130w.
