Dayton B65 classic
I'm really impressed with Dayton B65 classic speakers. I've had my Klipsch R-15m for a few years now. To me the bass was a little boomy on the Klipsch and the tweeter seemed to over power the woofer. The Dayton speakers are less efficient with my 105 watt amp they can play at over 100 db. I live in an apartment so 90 db is pushing it. The seller was ayreborn audio & video there service was excellent. The Dayton B65 sound warm and neutral to me. I paid $149.00 I love the vintage look of the classic model.

Clean highs with fantastic lower octave bass response for relatively small bookshelf speakers!
Bought these for use as basic test/background playback for my shop bench. But after AB'ing against my trusty old bookshelf Advents, they went right into the bedroom to serve as my mainstay listening speakers at my computer. The larger woofer added another whole lower bass octave. I must admit, pretty damn impressive bass for a set of small book shelf speakers! And great looking too! Though inefficient as all small speakers are, and a little bit lacking in the mids, (so just add a little mid boost) these are the definitely the best small speakers I've bought in a long time. And I've bought quite a few during the past fifty years. I am VERY happy with this purchase. Thank you so much!

Break-in matters
I know what I am paying for. For the price, the speakers quality and sound is great. Highly recommend for study room, small office or studio apartments set up. Is a happy purchase. However, it should sound better after 30-40hours of playing when the speakers break-in.

A surprising upgrade for the price
Absolutely. Based on what you've actually experienced with them, I'd make the review sound genuine rather than like an advertisement. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A surprising upgrade for the price I bought the Dayton Audio Classic B65 speakers as an upgrade from a Logitech Z607 system, and I honestly wasn't expecting the difference in sound quality to be this noticeable. The B65s sound **much richer, clearer, and more detailed**. The separation between instruments is especially impressive. I'm hearing little details and instruments in songs I've listened to for years that I genuinely don't remember hearing before. Vocals are clearer, individual instruments are easier to distinguish, and the overall sound feels much more open and natural. The 6.5" woofer provides plenty of mid-bass, while the 1" tweeter brings out a lot of detail without making the sound harsh. They also have a much more convincing stereo image than the small satellite speakers I was using previously. I'm currently powering them with a small Fosi Audio BT10A amplifier, and they have **more than enough volume for my room**. I haven't even needed to push the amplifier anywhere near its maximum. The build quality is also impressive for the price, and the binding posts are excellent. I particularly appreciated the ability to use banana plugs for a clean installation. After spending several hours listening to old music, I ended up going through **hundreds of songs just to rediscover them**. 😂 That's probably the best compliment I can give these speakers. I plan to add a proper powered subwoofer eventually, but for now I'm extremely happy with the B65s. **Fantastic speakers for the money. Highly recommended.**
