The Sportix is a fun easy to fly aircraft after training on a Cub or AeroScout. Best to have a transmitter with forward programming to activate SAFE and AS3X. I was impressed with the looks and performance of the Sportix. I had purchased the sim version on Real Flight and had several hours of stick time to get use to the aircraft. Very easy to control the plane in SAFE so I use to land and turn on the AS3X mode while flying. Seems to really well made and thought out. Safe will not let her roll over for inverted flight but she can get away from you quickly as a good plane on 3s and a fast plane on 4s packs.

I bought this plane to reaquaint myself with the hobby. I have about 20 flights on it. I would say it is an excellent and straight forward airplane. It tracks well and can fly pattern and scale acrobatics well. It is not too sensitive if you fly on low rates with some expo. I have not used the SAFE functions. Coming back from 17 years away, I am now the old school guy. I still fly with the risk of crashing. Perhaps it is because I am too lazy to figure out the flight modes. Awesome little plane.

Definitely not a first/beginner plane. Extremely responsive. Handles grass ops very well. My new favorite!

Superb plane for intermediate to advanced pilots. Flies extremely well for a foam construction plane. Unlimited room for advancement in flight skills.

The plane is well-built and durable. The landing gear is very sturdy. It is very easy and fast to assemble. It flies great and does a lot of aerobatic stunts well. It flies good with a lot of power on a 4S 2600 mAh battery. We have had a very good experience so far with the plane.
