A GREAT PRODUCT FOR ALLERGY SUFFERERS! LIFE CHANGING! I CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH!
THIS PRODUCT WORKS. It is barely the cost of a month or two of antihistamines! BUY IT just to test it out, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. These filters have had an enormous impact on my life. I cannot even begin to express how much these filters have helped me. I suffer from severe allergies to dust and ragweed. For years I struggled with breathing through my nose, it felt like I was breathing through a twizzler or a coffee stirrer straw. My ENT revealed to me that I had severely inflamed adenoids and a deviated septum. I had both of these fixed in surgery. However after having my adenoids trimmed down, they grew back to the same size due to inflammation from the allergies. Having inflamed adenoids obstructing my airways combined with all of the congestion from my allergies made breathing through my nose basically impossible. I began using these products about 5 months ago. I started with the ultra breathable and then moved on to the super defense. I CAN BREATHE NOW!!!!!!! I no longer struggle to catch a full breath, I no longer have to breath through my mouth all day. After awhile you will forget you even have the filter in. I wear these filters 24/7. I cannot imagine my life without these filters. Blocking out 97% of what I am allergic to has had a profoundly positive impact on my life. IF THE FILTER GETS CLOGGED CHANGE THE FILTER! If I have a runny nose, or my filter gets wet due to humidity I simply change the filter. I have 2 or 3 filters set up for the day, and if need be, I change them about every 2 hours. You can tell the difference when you put a fresh filter in. Let the other filter dry for a few hours. When you put the filter back in it will be dry and extremely breathable. I recommend using 2 to 3 different filters throughout the day, rotating them every few hours to keep them dry. I also have clean the filter framesto use daily(I just clean with hot water and hand soap) and put a new filter in the frame everyday. Using old filters is so much harder because they are clogged up with everything it stopped the day before. I don't know why it took me so long to realize to rotate the filters throughout the day to keep them dry, but once I started doing this the breath-ability of these filters improved dramatically. When you first start using it, you will notice it may be harder to breath at first BUT STICK WITH IT. After a few days as your allergies decrease, they will become more breathable. They will decrease your allergies so much that it will be immensely easier to breath with them in, then to have sinus allergies clogging your nose. The only thing I would change, and I ask the company to please consider this, is the color of the filter. Though it is see through, everybody still notices it. If I am within 5 feet of someone they can tell it is in. This wouldn't be a bad thing if it wasn't see through. I have people constantly tell me I have a booger, or I have something on my nose. And though I love explaining to people the benefit of these filters, I don't want to look like I have snot on my nose! If Woody Knows would make the part of the filter that is visible on the outside to a color of black or silver, then it would look like a nose ring and I wouldn't have people thinking I have a booger hanging out of my nose all day. I seriously hope that woody knows makes a filter frame that is black or silver. I would love to look like I have a nose ring in, instead of looking like there is a booger or something hanging out of my nose. You can still make the transparent version, BUT PLEASE MAKE A BLACK OR SILVER VERSION and give us the option. I know it might not create a tremendous amount of new revenue, but I guarantee you many of your users would love it. IF YOU AGREE WITH ME ABOUT THE COLOR, PLEASE LIKE THIS POST SO THE COMPANY MAY SEE IT. However, I still love this product. I am so thankful for this company. Thank you to everyone at Woody Knows, now that I can breath you have made my life a thousand times better. I cannot thank you all enough. I will continue to use this product for as long as I suffer from severe allergies. You have my utmost gratitude.

Happy I found this well-designed and *functional* product!
- I tried this item on something of a lark - I was looking at filter-masks to use during woodworking and gardening ((I'm basically allergic to Nature, and have a lot of sinus sensitivity...)), and saw various of these "nasal filters" also listed. I had never heard of these before that, and given that I really REALLY detest wearing masks, I looked through the various products, and this one seemed to be the most promising for my own needs. - The material it's made of is described on the box as being "...medical-grade FDA-approved plastic, BPA- and Phthalate-free", but it is not at all stiff or hard like I personally picture when I hear the word "plastic" - it's a smooth, yielding, and comfortable material that feels a lot like my CPAP nasal pillows. When the WoodyKnows filters were in my nose, I barely noticed them at all. there is a *very slight* resistance, because hey, they're filters ;) but I didn't even notice it after, like, 30 seconds. They seemed to work really well at keeping my fussy sinuses free of dust and whatnot, and I personally think they are 1000 times better than any mask I've ever tried. No fogging glasses, no suffocating feeling, no facial sweat and chafing, no pinching ((for some reason, any pinching of my upper nose seems to send angry nerve-signals to my sinuses...)), no irritation behind my ears from elastic, and so on - just soooooo much better! Wich means that these also make my hobbies that much more enjoyable :D - As to sizing, I use Medium CPAP "nasal pillows", so I took a chance and just ordered "medium" ((and round)), and they fit really well. - The ONE disadvantage is that, if your nose is running at all, that will "lubricate" these just enough so they will tend to slip out. So don't throw away *all* of those filter masks, Heh! ;) But all in all, I am 100% GLAD I FOUND THESE ;) and *very* satisfied with the specific brand - the WoodyKnows item seems to be to be very well-designed.....Woody really *does* seem to Know! ;) -

Has issues, but is still effective
First, and most importantly, it does work at blocking various garbage. I have various allergies and, even with the air gap issue, it still works well enough so my nose doesn't constantly run when I'm exposed to various molds and excessive dust. Unfortunately it doesn't help with smoking and car exhaust, which was one of my reasons for buying it. When I looked at the company's products, I noticed they had a specific filter for gas and smoke emissions, so I went ahead and bought the latest model. Unfortunately that filter doesn't work with this model, but that was my fault, as I should have did my research better. Fit-wise, it stays in fine for me. If I had to tell others how it feels, I would say it feels like having a large booger in my nose. Ease-of-breathing is also similar to having a large booger in your nose -- it's noticeably restricted, but you can still breathe. After awhile I got used to it and didn't think of it anymore. If your nose runs a lot or you eat spicy foods that cause your nose to run, this filter isn't a good fit. The cloth filter will soak up the stuff trying to get out of your nose and become extremely difficult to breathe with. It gets really nasty at that point, so remember to remove it before that happens. On the air gap: imaging a sheet of paper lying flat on a desk. Now put your hands on the opposite ends of the paper. Next, push down and inwards (toward the other hand) about an inch on both sides. See that gap where the paper is forced off the desk? That's what happens here. Manipulating the filter to fit snugly in your nose causes a gap just like this. If they increase the actual filter's size so it wraps around the black thing that sets it in place (instead of just resting on top of it), this gap would probably be closed. On looks: The filter turns my nose into a pug-nose. The bottom strap (connecting the two pieces that go into your nostrils) is still visible, especially if you're tall and people look up at you. If you're short, it isn't as big of a deal. If you're tall and people are close (and they're short), they can see the white filter when they look up at you. On voice: This does affect the sound of my voice (noticed not only by me, but by others). It sounds like you have a stuffed nose when you're sick, just not to that extreme. It does affect your voice negatively, though. Other: My initial purchase had two sets of filters missing from the packets that were included. The packets were there, but nothing was in it. The packets weren't opened either (you could play around with the pockets of air, showing it was still sealed). Annoying. Bottom-line? I'll still use it. The air gap needs to be dealt with, though, and it erodes the primary purpose of the product.

Upgrade is no good.
Update 3: Downgrading my review as I have not had any luck getting the redesign to work. I am reusing the old style holders and was able to find someone who still had the filter material for sale so bought several batches of that. When they are used up, I don't know what I will do. The old version of this was the best thing to ever happen for my allergies and I am so very disappointed in this product now. The old adage is true: It wasn't broken, and they shouldn't have "fixed" it. Update 2: I'm sorry to say that the updated version of this product is not working very well for me (size IIIS). The problem is that the new style filters don't fit inside the holders very well. They buckle at the middle with the retainers in, and the result is a large gap where unfiltered air pours in. My nose has been running all day with these in. If the filters were a little bit larger than the holders this might not happen. Before I give up on these I will try going one size larger with the filters. Fortunately I did buy several sets of the older version when I heard they were redesigning these. For now I will use those. Downgrading my review to three stars from five. I truly loved this product and if the larger filter doesn't work I do not know what I will do. Update: After about a week, I started thinking these were slipping around a bit too much so I ordered a size larger. Got them tonight and they are so much more comfortable. Recommend trying the next size up if you can't get comfortable in your first set. Review: I have many environmental allergies, ranging from all sorts of pollen to dog and cat dander, dust mites and alternaria mold. When I was finally allergy tested a few years ago, I lit up like a Christmas tree. I have suffered from chronic fatigue, headaches, chronic sinusitis and so forth my whole life. Almost every day I wake up feeling sluggish and disoriented, with swelling in my hands and face, sometimes finding it impossible to fully awaken or even get out of bed. I never felt like sleep was restorative, just something I never felt like I could get enough of. This was my "normal" for many years and though I was practically debilitated on some days from fatigue, no one could ever say why. After the allergy testing I recognized that I was probably "allergy-sick," but the number of allergens I react to is so large I would have to live in a bubble to avoid them all, or so I thought. I've pretty much given up on reducing environmental allergens in my home because, truthfully, there is no way I can avoid everything, so there's little point. I wore masks at home and lived with it. Then I discovered nasal filters. I've tried a couple of kinds, and these are the best so far. Bought them last week, have been using them for four and a half days, as I write this, and each day I have woken up clear, with energy, and ready for the day. The pros: Better than a face mask, because there are no gaps. I used to wear a procedure mask at night, but often I would remove it while asleep, or the gaps would allow too much air in through the sides. Unlike the Nosk filters, the Woody Knows is comfortable enough to wear all night. And I wake up clear. The flexible frame fits the form of your nose well, and the joining piece, while visible, is not obvious. Yes, I can feel that it is there, but it is not too bothersome. The cons: The filtration is very good, but you need to check these periodically. Hold them up to the light and look for gaps; you may find you have to reposition the filter foam occasionally. Also, yesterday a filter foam fell out of one side and I did not notice, so had exposure for a bit; I am not sure how long. Another problem is that they can chafe the inside of the nose a bit-- a little lotion or vaseline fixes that. I'd love for them to be a bit more comfortable, but I'm not sure how that could be accomplished. They are certainly the best of the lot so far. One other issue is the price of replacement filters. I will try to clean and reuse as much as I can, and I'll eat the cost if these continue to work, but I sure do wish they were less expensive or that a permanent nano filter could be available. The "ultra breathable" ones filter so much less, and that just won't cut it for me. Finally, blowing my nose is now a Major Production. My nose still runs sometimes, and that means I need to remove these and blow a few times a day. However, that's not horrible and I hope it will gradually abate as my allergies continue to improve. The scoop: You need to give yourself a few days with these. The systemic allergic reaction has tapered down gradually, which means that my nose was still irritated for the first few days, and I used a Neti pot (and still do) to help clear out those passages and keep them clear. I am still using the Flonase and I still take a zyrtec each day, but I feel like the combination of these things is actually accomplishing a lot, as opposed to feeling like nothing was working, as I did before. Each day seems a bit better. The big test is yet to come-- my mold allergies usually cause the worst of my symptoms, and those kick in when it's rainy. I haven't had that test yet, but I have increasing confidence in this product with each passing day.

Works for me!
Have been using it now for over a week here in the Pacific Northwest - Tree pollen are at a maximum level these days. I definitely notice a substantial improvement over my usual allergy situation. I'm still able to breath through my nose which was essentially unheard of over the past years during this time of the year (despite allergy medication). So...I'd say - it works! I had to change the size...originally order the largest ones which were too large, went one size down...and those fit comfortably. You still notice you have something in the nose, especially when trying to eat - but that's easily remedied. As for using the filters while exercising, I found that when using them during running, inhaling is somewhat impacted at the rate I would need it, and exhaling is even more impacted...so essentially during heavier exercise, you'll probably be breathing through your mouth.

Woody DOES know!
I suffer from an over-active Immune System, so I have sinus reactions to a whole list of airborne irritants, both natural and man-made. I'm especially sensitive to indoor dust/allergens from ventilation systems everywhere. (Yeah, that's a drag.) And regular allergy meds don't do much, because of the broad scope of my sensitivities, so frankly, I was desperate for some sort of relief. Then I heard about nasal filters, and searched Amazon. And of all the brands offered, WoodyKnows was the one that filtered out the widest range of irritants, so that's the one I went with. What a blessing! This isn't a Cure-All, by any means. But it's definitely helped me. It took a couple of days to get used to the way they fit/feel. But I now wear them around the house - especially when cleaning! - and sleep with them every night, and find that they make a huge difference! Decreasing my exposure to indoor allergens - especially at night - means that I rest better, and wake up more refreshed and energized. And that makes it easier for my body to deal with my reactions in the daytime and away from home, when I don't wear them. These filters are almost invisible, and once you get used to them, you can actually forget you're wearing them. Getting the proper size is paramount, though, so I used a trick I read in another Review: silly as it sounds, I took an up-close photo of my nose with my cell phone, and then chose the size to order, based on the size of my nostrils in the photo - and it worked! I got a perfect fit, the first time out! Now, WoodyKnows says the filters are good for 1-5 days. I've found that high humidity will shorten their effectiveness, and with my serious rhinitis, mine last about 3 days. So the frequency of refills will depend on your particular symptoms/environment. And the cost is no more than I've been spending on allergy meds that rarely help! So,I definitely recommend WoodyKnows. I've found so much relief that I've already ordered refills, just to make sure I don't get caught without them. In this world of fakes and rip-offs, it's been awesome to find a product that actually does what it promises. Woody DOES know!

omg this is really working!!!!
Like everyone else reviewing this product, I have suffered for many years with nasal allergy symptoms. I have been allergy tested multiple times, each time being told that I am basically only allergic to dogs and cats (vs trees, mold etc). I already knew that, I practically have anaphylaxis around cats. However, sometimes my allergies seem to act up for no reason, perhaps because dander is ubiquitous indoors in highly-trafficked areas? I'm not sure. Unlike some others on here, my allergies are well-controlled if I take Zyrtec. However, both of my pregnancies, my symptoms became insufferable and I didn't like the idea of taking an antihistamine if I didn't have to, so, I googled and googled and finally found this product. I have been using it a week and omg I think it is WORKING! I'm really not sure how since it seems so tiny and simple but, I haven't used Zyrtec in a week!! As others have mentioned, it runs big. And, it does widen your nose a tad but not so much that it is a dealbreaker. Only my husband notices I think. I also do have moments during the day where I sneeze and feel like my allergies are about to come back full force but, I blow my nose, take a deep breath and put the filter back in and lo and behold, things settle down again. I have been wearing it 24hrs for the last week and it is certainly comfortable enough to sleep with. I replaced the filter once but have dabbed it with a tissue several times a day to keep it from being too moist. Also want to mention that customer service is EXCELLENT! Very responsive on email. I initially ordered a size too large and they sent me a replacement package with two sizes to try at no extra cost!! They really stand by their product. I do to at this point though I will be sure to update this review in a few months as I have a better sense of the longevity of my new system

GOOD IDEA BAD DESIGN
First let me start by saying it it a very good idea. It is basically a respirator for each nostril. It filters out particles that would irritate, dry out, or otherwise affect your mucous membranes. It actually keeps my membranes moist. With that being said the bad design flaw is the actual filter itself. When you replace them they are held in by the black retainers. So when you breathe there is a potential of sucking the filter out of the retainer and cup deep into your nose. Then you would being going to a specialist to have it removed if it didn't pose a choking hazard. I am not big on having a synthetic fiber cloth stuck in my airway impeding my breathing. The fix would be simple. The company needs to attach the retainer and synthetic fiber cloth together permanently to prevent such hazards. Then you would have a very great product. I breathe fine thru this device, however I have already had the synthetic fiber cloth come loose. Not a total dislodge but enough where the filter was not preventing any particles from entering my nose. If I hadn't have checked it it could have been catastrophic. So be forewarned. I will not wear it until some design change is made. (1.) Picture is WoodyKnows Super Defense Nose holder with black filter retainer notice no synthetic fiber cloth is inside. (2.) Picture is WoodyKnows Super Defense Nose holder with black filter retainer and synthetic fiber cloth filter all separated. (3.)
