Not suitable for the Nextbase 522GW without modification to the usb connector
Seems a decent enough kit with a multitude of fittings for different fuseboxes, but the plug with the usb connector on just does not fit properly into the mount for the Nextbase 522GW (and i'd suspect this mount is used across many of their current cameras where the mount locks into the front of the camera). The plastic that holds the connector together is just too thick to go into the recess where the plug sits, so you will either end up having to shave bits of plastic off the connector or force it into place. Neither is ideal, with the later being likely to cause failure of the mount at a later point.

It works for my Nextbase 522GW
I probably didn't need to buy the official Nextbase one, a standard would would no doubt have been fine but this was only £3 more or so so why not. Installation is fine, it comes with many different sized fuse taps and fuses so you should be covered. Installation difficulty depends on the location and orientation of your fuse box I guess but its pretty easy. Maybe wear gloves the protect the back of your hand though, mine got scratched up quite a bit while rooting around in there. My installation was very tidy and is well hidden, its far better than having wires around my gearknob snaking down into the cigarette lighter. Having a multi-meter make this a lot easier when finding which fuse slots have power when and for finding a good ground.

Simple no fuss alternative for hardwiring any 5V accessory. Pure Genius!
What a great idea this is. After years of having to splice or tap into a 12V line and 'hacking' a connection or having to find somewhere to put multi-socket adaptors that don't leave a 'Snakes-Wedding', of cables to get snagged or pulled loose. This little kit takes care of the fuss and mess; Just select the right adaptor for your fusebox, locate a switched live and pull the original fuse, plug in your adaptor and pop the fuse back into this, then run the cables without fear of snagging or unsightly mess. Fitted in 2020 Mercedes A class in 15 minutes including running cable in to overhead console to connect DashCam. Genius!

Does what its designed to do
I did not like the idea of having to share the cigarette lighter power with charging my phone and my dashcam. So I looked up to this product. Just connect the dashcam with this usb provided and wire it inside the car trims and then reach the fuse box. Once there, find the ignition fuses. you should have a diagram in the cover of the fuse box or close-by. then remove the fuse and then replace it with one of the fuse adapter provided in the kit. Then connect the 2 fuses and there you ready to go. the dash cam will come on when the car is switched on. Hope that was helpful.

Superb multiple fitting options
This is a great kit which allows connection into a number of fuse sockets in order to finally connect the right one. I had tried one fuse connection first for my Dash Cam, and although the fuse was for something that only works when the accs are switched on the dash cam did not respond in that manner, I then managed to use a different connection from the kit to connect to a different fuse which did the job.Unless you know exactly which fuse to connect to, this is the best kit to go for. It also offers the two dashcam power connections in case of ever changing it and needing the usb rather than mini usb!!

Perfect for a more discreet power cable to you dash came
So I decided to use my semi redundant GO Pro as a dash cam, and rather than have a power lead going to the 12v cigarette lighter/charge point, I purchased this wiring kitThis enabled me to plug into a free fuse port in my car fuse box, and thread a more discreet cable to my go pro. Worked a treat and easy to doAs well as plugging into the fuse port, you need an earth point, and that was easy also, just looking for a metal bolt and nut close to the fuse box, and fitting the earth wire just behind the nut and retighteningI’m not that technical and the whole fit took 10 minutes
