Looking at maps shouldn't be this much fun
My transformation from cool dude into train nerd is almost complete . This is a fascinating look at the urban train systems of "every" city in the world. Some of the maps come with no commentary making them far less interesting to me, and I was surprised at how many cities are expanding their systems (an awful lot of them due for completion next year for some reason), but 90% of the book is one of those where you could lose 15 minutes just looking at a subway map.

maps with a use
A a great reference to major cities of the world who have a transport system that can be mapped and used. now we need similar books for bus-lines, tramlines.

Great idea - but....
Great concept, spoilt by the fact that many of the maps are virtually unreadable because of the small print. The reason for this may be that the book's producers think the design of the maps takes precedence for the reader over the content.

in that much of the text is small and not always easily readable, for anyone with any vision defects
An extremely comprehensive and detailed review of every metro and light rail system in the world. My only problem with the publication is purely a personal one, in that much of the text is small and not always easily readable, for anyone with any vision defects.
