Strong Girls Gift Set (Ordinary People Change the World)

I gave these to my friends 8 year old daughter and she loved them so much they brought a few more.

Bought this as a gift for friends who have little girls (aged 3, 5 and 7). They love them. We read these books to our children (age 6) and they love this series and have learned so much.

How do you write a book about Harriet Tubman for young kids? One that is honest and true to history without scaring them or ruining their sweet innocence that lasts for such a short time in life? This entire series is so good! They remind kids that all of our historical heroes (Tubman, Earhart, MLK, Rosa Parks, Abe Lincoln) were once kids too. Every story has a lesson that is demonstrated the whole way through. My 6 and 8 yr old girls love these books - and I do too. Certainly have gotten choked up while reading them. History matters! Integrity, honesty, curiosity, self-awareness, imagination, determination - these books hit on so many life lessons!

I bought this set for my seven year old granddaughter and my daughter read her one book a night before bed. The second night, she went in to look in on my granddaughter only to find that she had gotten up during the night and retrieved the third book to read before falling asleep. I'm hopeful that my daughter will purchase ALL of the children's books that Brad has written for my granddaughter's library. It is a wonderful bonus that some of the people written about are still alive today. I wish these books had been available when I was reading to my children during their formative years. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Absolute adore all of this collection and I order this set as a gift. Children learn BIG lessons on a child’s level and the people and lessons stick. I’m so happy to have heroes that are nonfiction for my children.

We love these books! We got them for our nephew and nieces this past Christmas and are looking to get a couple more to have for our little ones library. :)

Absolutely love the stories and the encouragement for girls! Wonderful inspirational stories and very cute illustrations. It's a perfect gift for girls of all ages!

We gave the set to my daughter or her 5th birthday after her love for history grew while watching "The Who Was Show". We had Neil Armstrong and George Washington from the series and they were a big hit.She loves these books and they are a great way to introduce some of the most notable people in history to younger kids.
