A MUST-HAVE masterpiece for collectors and students alike
I don't usually write reviews, but couldn't stop myself this time. I will break down the review into simple parts.Quality: Impeccable. Each page is carefully curated and designed, and the paper quality is so amazing that I had to make sure I'm not turning two pages at a time. (the papers are so thick and nice)Content: I haven't finished reading it, but any connoisseur or even novice explorer of Greek and Roman mythology MUST read this book.Packaging: There were a few scratches on the paper jacket outside, but the actual cover was pristine. We'll packaged, slightly manhandled.Overall : 11/10. Among all my book collections, this is my most prized now.

Like something that belongs on the library shelves of Olympus.
While I already possess the Paperback (which is honestly more akin to a pocketbook), this anniversary edition is something that every student of Mythology (amateur or professional) must have on their shelves. The eloquence and detail of the stories are backed up by helpful charts, diagrams and beautiful illustrations. While it's certainly heavy to hold and can be termed as unwieldy, I believe it only makes the book more attractive, since ancient wisdom is often encased inside heavy, unwieldy tomes. But that's just me. All-in-all, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and I would like to recommend this book to people who have a deep love for mythology or would like to rope in more people into the realm of Gods, Monsters and Heroes.

Wow!
100/100One of my best buys. Got it for a decent deal (still expensive) from Cloudtail India. The quality of the jacket, hard cover, and pages is amazing! Loved the illustrations (full page size colourful paintings and in text drawings) nd font type. But on the heavier side, but would look gorgeous on your book shelf.

Great read!
Really loving the feel and the content. Amazing quality on the outside and the inside. Buy without 2nd thought. If you don't buy you miss out on a lot more than the cost of the book.

Excited to read after I give it a clean.
Super excited to read this, flipping through it looks amazing. Disappointed with how it arrived - needs to be stored in a plastic sleeve as whoever's was handling and packing this clearly had sticky hands as you can see in the pics.

The Gold Standard
Supremely good. The best introduction you can buy to introduce yourself to the Greek mythos and begin looking at the great, foundational works of Western civilisation: The Iliad, etc. can't recommend this enough. The book and dust jacket look great. Illustrated throughout... Just a marvel. Get it!

Beautifully Produced Book!
This really is a celebration of this classic rendering of the Greek, Roman and Norse myths, by Edith Hamilton. (You only have to see how long it's been in print and how much second-hand copies are fetching, to know why they did it.) Beautifully bound, illustrated and set out, it's a steal at £14.99. I bought it as a gift - for me, ha,ha - and I'm beyond delighted with it.

Book looks great but grubby
Book looks fab and really interesting, but like other reviewers mine arrived with grubby paw prints and scratches on the book jacket that was also poorly fitted. A small thing, but when you buy a new book you don’t expect it to be grubby and tatty looking.....
