Frank Sinatra recorded this Bossa Nova album with the master, Carlos Jobim. Francis Albert Sinatra & Antonio Carlos Jobim sees Sinatra performing originals by Jobim, plus three American standards. In celebration of this classic album's 50th anniversary, the tracks have been remastered and now appears on 180 gram heavyweight vinyl.

One of Sinatra's best albums issued on his then Reprise label.
An absolutely gorgeous album. Not a bad track. Sinatra sings with his normal immaculate phrasing but so softly. I have the original vinyl from when it was released in 1967 which has been played so many times. This new release has been remastered although I would say there is not a huge difference.It should be mentioned however that the expanded version as advertised is only applicable to CD and download so there is nothing extra on the vinyl. In common with most of Sinatra's original releases on the Reprise label the total playing time is very short in this case only about 25 minutes. The album has been re released by Universal Music and the additional material could easily have been added to the vinyl.

Three Great Musical Artists in Harmony
I bought this CD for sentimental reason having two great artists Carlos Jobim and Frank Sinatra complimenting one another in the classic Bossa Nova rhythm arranged and conducted by the famous Claus Ogerman. The CD album contains the ever popular "The Girl From Ipanema", "Meditation" and others written by Carlos Jobim. The orchestral backing is superb, but re-mastering could do with some slight tweaking on the tone contour control to suite our psychological listening requirement. Well something is better than having nothing!

I can only echo fellow reviewer Mr Bathie's comments. An excellent remaster and pressing, flat and quiet, clean and clear. Just like "September of My Years" (re-released Nov 2015), superior in my view to the earlier 2004 Warner/Reprise vinyl reissue. I can hear more. Lovely record.

MEDITATION
It is a brilliant and special tribute to a great singers memory.......RIP .....Blue Eyes . My Beautiful and I saw him sing in Manchester in the 50's.They are now both gone......but the memory is rich.
