Easy to follow
Instructions are easy to follow and well detailed. It even comes with a little bit of history and what type of fabric to get for different time periods. Also has instructions for different types of detailing to put on the Dirndl.

Beautiful and Versatile dirndl
I can always highly recommend the patterns from Patterns of Time. They come with excellent instructions, and often with a review of the historical significance of the pattern, as well as ways to make your garment as historically accurate as possible. I used this particular pattern to costume Maria and the von Trapp girls for our 2015 production of Sound of Music. They were a great success.

Someone ripping off Folkwear Patterns
Somehow this seems like someone took a Folkwear pattern, copied it, repackaged it and sold it. Next time I would buy it directly from the company or from a pattern store. All the folkwear patterns I own are printed on heavier paper (this one is on tissue) and the pattern package was cut at the top and it came in a plastic bag. Not what I was expecting and Folkwear patterns are not cheap. I worry that whoever is selling this is ripping off the company.

Everything you need to make a beautiful authentic dirndl!
I've always wanted to make dirndl-shaped thingies, and this pattern has it all. Not only does it have easy-to-use patterns and instructions, it comes with a whole piece on how to do authentic detailing (including the history, German terns for certain ribbon details, etc.) You won't be sorry- this pattern's great.

I loved making this
I loved making this! To preserve the uncut pattern; I traced the pieces I needed on tissue paper. The blouse turned out a little wonky (sleeves were perfect though), but that might be me. I will revisit the pattern to see where I went wrong. Instead of the fancy trim for the bodice & sleeve trim I did fork pleats (I was on a deadline). I also loved the pattern inserts on how to do the authentic detailing, the history of the dirndl, and how to wear it properly. Since my apron had a deer pattern in it, I went a bit further and searched for deer jewelry on Amazon and found “Christmas Deer Head Shape Collar Necklace Elk Antlers Pendant Antique Hinged Plate Fashion Jewelry” and “Metal Vintage Bronze Deer Head Stud Earrings Xmas Gift”, they both completed the outfit and I have had several strangers ask if they can take my picture.
