Greenworks12 Amp Electric Corded Edger 27032

Simple design and assembly. Plenty of power if you're even a little bit patient (it is electric, after all). I bought one that was a refurb/scratch and dent package, whatever, and it was absolutely perfect, brand new, never used, not a scratch. Just came in a generic box is all.I suppose my only observational thing is that on my first run, I did the edging shortly after rain, let's say a few hours, and as I hadn't edged this concrete in 6 years living here, there was a fair amount of work to be done. The dirt/mud did get pretty packed up inside the blade housing, which really, if anything, is more a testament to how powerful the motor is...the blade didn't ever stop, just packed the thing tight. So I kept a long, big screwdriver handy and scraped it out every so often. Next run...dry, easy, all good.My opinion is buy with confidence, terrific product so far.

The price was right and this has saved me a ton of time around the house, driveway and pool. This greenworks edger was the lower cost option when comparing and I took a chance it is well built and durable with plenty of power. My only complaint is the design although I do think it is a complaint with many of these is the imbalance of the handle top heavy and can just about stay upright on its own let alone with a cord plugged in, I wish there was an option to extend the rear wheel back further or even an additional wheel on the back to maintain balance.

Just like their equipment, their warranty and support is just as excellent! I had an issue with this edger where I had to involve support. The issue could not get fix and they did not have a similars model. So, they gave me an upgraded model (48V (2x24V) 8" Edger w/ (2) 4.0Ah USB Batteries & Dual Port Charger) free of charge and continue the rest of my warranty with the upgraded model. The current and upgraded unit are not noisy, durable, maneuverable and very easy to use. Based on the power, upgraded cut a lot better than the original unit, so I loving the upgrade.

I really wanted to give this a great review. Upon arrival it looked l like it was just thrown into a box. There was no damage and the handle was wrapped in plastic. C'mon GreenWorks, you can do better than that! I did not like how hard it was too get the darn handle aligned to bolt it together. Tolerances for the bolt in the handle together are too tight. Also the curled cord going down the handle center kept getting in the way of the bolt. Once I got it I felt the handle was a little off. It does not have a guide that allows you to easily align the blade with the side walk. There is a visual guide but its pretty useless. You will find that the only way to be sure that you are against the sidewalk is to scrape the blade against the concrete.. Not good for blade life. You will definitely need an extra blade. That being said, it was reasonably powerful and did a good job although with sparks flying. I had also purchased last year a GreenWorks string trimmer which is very powerful and does a great job. If you don't mind a few sparks, give it a try. I'm thinking the Black & Decker would have been a better buy.

Good packaging, minimal assembly, need to understand to pull out the rubber stoppers on the handle as they are for shipping only. Used it right away - very happy with it, replaced my 30yr old item.

I bought this based on reviews but I find it is just the opposite. I have tried several times but it just does not work well for me. I have to use a long power cord to reach all the areas that need edging which is a hassle. Once plugged in the edger will not stand alone; it wants to topple over which I find very annoying. It rolls nice but this edger is heavy to me. It is difficult to hold the power switch, guide the edger, and line it up just right all at the same time. Lining it up against the concrete edge is difficult and apparently it has to be exact and even then does not do a good job. It does not do well if there is any unevenness in concrete like along the street side of your lawn. I find it very difficult. Not worth the money or effort.

I just moved into my first house and trying to clean up my yard, not shooting for yard of the year, but want it to look presentable. I bought this because I didn’t have an edger. This works really pretty well for my purpose.I only have two complaints- 1. The plug is a little frustrating. It has a cup on it to protect from water but that makes it temperamental with some cords and it likes to come unplugged. 2. The height adjustment is a little cumbersome. It’s difficult to get it just right without scraping the blade on the concrete.Also there is no guide.Otherwise I found the power and ease good. Would buy again overall.

Funciona perfectamente, llevo meses utilizándolo y quedanbastante bien los bordes. Lo incómodo es el cable de alimentación que se me enreda pero por el precio y la calidad lo volvería a comprar.
