The product is good. But you need to find the sweet spots to enjoy it. It sounds bad if you can't find that perfect tone.

Excellent pedal
Really good pedal to get John Mclaughin's electric guitar sound, since he uses the Dunlop Stereo Chorus pedal, as close as you can get, all that is left is to have his fingers!

Big for a reason
My previous pedal was an old DOD which had only had a rate and width knob. When you turn it on, it blasted overbearing chorus even turned all the way down. The great thing about the MXR is the intensity knob which allows you to control how much effect you want in your signal. So smooth. The bass and treble function is great. If you're lacking in low end, boost the bass. The LED light not only shows you when the pedal is on but also mimics the rate speed. With the width and rate all the way down, the average listener will never know its a chorus pedal and won't know how you get that great tone. I don't know if I'll ever go fully clean again. One thing worth mentioning is that the width and rate don't go Grand Canyon wide or like spastic speed but it's more than enough. Get more pedals for that anyway. I leave the low end cut on. The knob level indicators glow in the dark, good for the stage. You can actually power this with 2 9V batteries if you're crying over the adapter. Why not just buy a power brick though? Mine came with the adapter. Playing this pedal in stereo is a must. I wish there was a ping pong option because with the rate and width up high, it sounds really close to a tremelo pedal. Put delay and a little distortion next to this pedal and BAM, a single note sounds like an epic 80s solo. Very transparent. Again, intensity knob is the best. I haven't tried the BOSS chorus pedals but after this I really don't care to. I prefer the MXR footswitch over the bulky BOSS ones anyway. It's not as big as those RC20 or Memory Man double pedals FYI. Love it. Negatives? Um... I wish it came in midnight blue.

Mxr Stereo Chorus
I love the MXR Stereo Chorus so much. It provides a very warm and lush chorus sound, which can be tweaked in many ways. The pedal can please even the most meticulous chorus aficionados. I believe this pedal was used on Gun's and Roses appetite for destruction album. This pedal perfectly nails the effect on during the intro to Paradise City. The Bass and Treble knobs allow you to get pretty much, whatever chorus sound you are interested in. The Bass Filter switch also provides a wonderful feature that lets you apply the chorus only to the high-end parts of your signal and the bass and lows are left unaffected. You can plug this chorus into two amps and get some very cool spatial chorus effects. This baby is definitely worth the money, if you are looking for a more professional chorus to use. This is an 18v pedal, and it sounds like heaven. The pedal also does great Leslie speaker simulations when the width and rate knobs are turned up. If this pedal were ever stolen, I would go right back out and buy another one.

Killer Chorus Pedal
This is one hell of a chorus pedal, and i can see why Slash approves. The Bass and Treble EQ make this pedal extremely versatile, and the low freqency cut creates tones that sing to angels (or demons). One thing i immediately noticed about this pedal was the light that comes on when you switch on the effect, it pulses to how the chorus is sounding so you know exactly what your sound "looks" like. You can go from very subtle chorus to outrageous almost vibrato-like sounds. This pedal does take a while to get used to, but once you figure out how each knob works, you can get pretty much any sound you want. And this is a stereo pedal so i can be split into 2 amps and makes your sound even more awesome. This pedal is well worth the money and it is made extremely well.

great buy but only 18V
works and sounds great but only works with 18V. The AMAZON page description is wrong. If you look at the picture of the back it says 18V ...turns off with 9V.
