I am torn between the 200mm f2 and the 300 f2.8, which do you think would be better for me; I would use it for indoor sporting events and wildlife ?

The 300 F2.8 is one of the best lens Nikon has ever made and is better. The added reach and the fact that the 300 F 2.8 works perfectly with 1.4, 1.7 and 2.0 converters makes it the perfect choice. I have tried the 500 F4 and it is way to big to carry around or hold. The 300 f 2.8 is still large but can be handheld which is huge. Thanks for asking.

Will this lens fit a Nikon Z6 and what is the zoom power in (X) ?

no. completely different mount but there maybe an adapter but not certain

Specs show 52mm photo filter thread size? based on current lens design, it looks more like a 72 or 77mm. what it the size?

The filter for these huge lens is on the back of len, not in the front. All Nikon 300mm 2.8 version(I, II, VR) use 52mm filter.

Is this lens compatable with The Nikon D7000 camera?

It is a FX lens, that is full format. I do not see why it would not be compatible with a DX body like the D7000. Nikon USA site says, answering a similar question about the D200 and The D300, that Yes this lens is compatible with these 2 cameras.
