So I purchased this antenna to be used for mobile radio and a base station portable operation rig. SWR was 1.5:1 Its also being used in conjunction with a radial ground plane kit.The antenna works fantastic on my Kenwood D710G.For testing purposes I attached this to my IC-9700. The radio freaked OUT when it was used for transmission. The radio chattered and buzzed like a IC-7300 going through a tuning cycle.Removed antenna and switched back to a comet GP3 test antenna and tme 9700 was humming along happily.Same antenna may or may not work on your radio. It's great for my use case, but I wish I had tried a different models to find one that works for both radios.

Tuned under 2:1 across the ham bands on my Jeep and my pickup. I purchased a second one.

This antenna seems like its built well, its mute for HF listening though that's a bummer. Works great on VHF/UHF plan on using it with my icom ic-705. Great height aswell, it's also a bit on the heavy side. Packaged ok I guess...though the handling was on the poor side.
