No, I would not use this Golden Soft Gel Gloss as a varnish. I would use it as a glue.

Is this thick enough to use for stencils like the glass bead gel?

It is probably a bit softer than that. It is soft and buttery, but doesn’t hold a peak. Will work with stencils very nicely, but won’t be a lot thicker than surrounding paint. Works great for collage.

For use as an isolation coat, does the golden soft gel make the painting glossy? I plan to use a satin varnish over it.

GOLDEN Soft Gel Gloss, as its name says, gives a shiny finish. Satin varnish over it will matte down the gloss finish.
