This is resin for water purification. I suppose it could be recharged and re-used, but my wife just tosses out the old stuff and adds new to her fish tanks. I suspect she leaves it in too long and it becomes ineffective pretty quickly. It's pretty expensive stuff. But I guess it works. For her.
