Leapfrog My Pal Scout, Multi Color

This lil fellow is my one year old daughter's favorite toy. Her face beams up whereever she sees it! It's been almost 6 months and it's working fine. Had to replace the battery once in between. Great buy!

My son has this toy for about 10years now. The scout toy has been his closest and best toy for all these years. Instead of inserting my son's name in the app we added the English alphabet and with it my son easily learnt to speak all the letters chronologically . Its the cuddliest .. Whenever it gets dirty we just take out it's battery box...cover it with a plastic bag and then wash the rest of the toy with soap and if needed brush on any dirty spots. Dry it in sun and it's good as new. Our scout toy is manufactured in 2009. And till now when we wash it it's like new. My son would probably outgrow the age of playing with soft toys but this one here would still be great.

Its very nice. We can adjust the volume and my 7 months old baby just loves it.

This is a very good toy for kids who have started to sit. A lot of people have mentioned that Indian names are not found on the leapfrog website when you want to customize Scout. Try using different spellings and you should be able to find something very close to your name. Eg try Veyan when you are actually looking for Viaan It allows you to enter different spelling while storing the name so even though you used Veyan to make it say the name correctly, you can still enter Viaan so that when Scout tells the spelling of the name he can spell it correctly. It's advertised that Scout has over 40 sounds, I doubt this. But it's still a great toy for you to play with your kid. It can say the child's favorite food, color and animal. Surprisingly price of this in India is almost similar to what you'll have to pay in the USA. Overall I think its a great gift for babies as they will play with it well into toddlerhood

While purchasing we had high expectations from this product.however, this product is customisable as per the American standards. While it has the option of registering your child's name it allows selection of only American names!:( most importantly very disappointed with the volume settings..one can hardly hear it say anything! Overall Disappointed

Bought for my son last Christmas. He was 10 months. At the time, I would say my 2.5 year old got more use out of it, but now at 18 months, he loves it. You can personalise it by plugging if in to the computer and choosing the child's name, favourite colour, favourite food and favourite animal. You can also choose which songs you would like it to play when they squeeze its paw, which is great for when they get too repetitive and annoying. Not all children's names are available as you must choose from a library, rather than inputting any name, although there are plenty to choose from. There is a paw to squeeze to sing songs, including a song about the child's name and one about their favourite things; a foot to squeeze for bedtime mode, so he will play lullabies for a chosen number of minutes to help your child sleep; and the collar lights up in four different colours when some songs are played. The other paw enables you to play games with Scout, like guessing an object he's describing, and the left foot switches him on and off. There is also a volume control inside scout on his battery pack which enables you to switch from high to low. Neither I find offensive, but low is quite quiet (although we have a busy house so may not be if you have less children!), so we usually have him on high volume so my son can hear him. We find that sufficient for night time lullabies too. A great little toy for a brilliant price that my son loves, and when he grows out of it, I can reprogram it for him little sister, so can get plenty of use out of it! He is very cuddly despite his battery pack and a good size too. Overall, a fantastic toy with some educational value that I imagine we will get a good few years of play from, at a cheap price. Well worth the money I think.

Quick delivery and toy was as I expected nice and easy to install. My baby loves it. I recommend to everyone.

Edit: I’ve now bought this as a gift for babies and toddlers in my life 8 times!! I bought one very recently with “frustration free packaging” and highly recommend this option! It is definitely a well loved, personalized, exploratory, educational and fun toy and used lots by the children and families I’ve personally bought for! I have bought this as a gift 4 or 5 times and each time is has been well loved! It’s great that you can personalize it and the kiddos seem to love it! Will be buying again

This is our son's 3rd LeapFrog Scout and he has a Violet too. It's his third one NOT because it is poorly made (it's actually made very well and the quality is great and super durable), it's his third because he loves it SO MUCH (he sleeps with it every night like a comfort blanket and Scout is his best bud and does everything with him, even now that he's a little older) and we wanted to tuck his first one his grandma bought him for Christmas when he was a baby away into his baby box before he wore it completely out. The 2nd one we got him was the newer version and slightly different than the original but still awesome and great quality. But of course he wanted another one exactly like his original and so we searched and found this for a really decent price. If you're debating whether you should buy a Scout or Violet for a little one in your life, just do it! Out of every toy and stuffie our son has received over the years, this has been the one he treasures and still loves the most.
