BROAD BAND RF AMPLIFIER
Overall a functional amplifier my initial target frequency is 2.4ghz unfortunately for my purposes the gain tails of and produces only 12db. Below 1ghz the gain starts to rise sharply towards 20db, I have not tested it below 144mhz yet, test gear is Anritsu and calibrated. The SMA connectors are only soldered on the top surface with way to much solder and the flux is not removed. I have reworked the SMA and modified the circuit to reduce the bandwidth to SHF, the gain has improved to 17db at 2.4ghz good enough for my purpose. It would have been easier and a lot quicker to chain two amplifiers together but I do not have room in the case.

Very poor amplification of signal runs extremely HOT tested at 14 050 Mhz and 50.150 Mhz

Design change since Amazon photo make the device useless
Photos on the Amazon site show through plated holes for 5V and Gnd. Fitting pins to connect power would be easy hence my decision to buy this device. Delivered item has only a pad for 5V. This makes it next to impossible for a home hobbyist to connect power. Whilst adding a ground plane is a good thing, removing the hole for 5V isn't very well thought through.
