NOT bitter and incredibly smooth.
I’ve been increasingly disappointed in olive oil store brands for years, with each iteration of my purchases tasting more like ear wax than oil. It’s expensive, no matter the quality. It has an annoyingly “vast” selection with no indication of taste. And the US stores constantly proclaim 100% Italian olives with increasing suspicion that the olives never graduated high school. Ear wax. They all taste like ear wax.Enter this brand. Is it Italian? I don’t know. Probably. Is it olives? Likely. Does it taste like ear wax? Not at ALL. It is smooth and delicious. Not bitter. Peppery. Buttery. A little “lemony.”Is it a neutral taste? No. It still tastes like olive oil, but less than the depths of hell. I don’t know if it’s the best, but I do know it’s better than 100% of the store brands I’ve tried so far in the US. It’s also the same price as all the other horrible oils I’ve tried. Risk the purchase. Heck, buy the small one to try first. That’s what I just did, and I can tell you 100% that this is the first time I DRANK a teaspoon and don’t want to vomit.I’ve had good olive oil before in restaurants or as bread dippers stuffed with herbs and salt. The idea of an olive oil drizzle was a REVOLTING concept. Now I get it. Now I understand why you don’t need to mix olive oil with balsamic to make it palatable. And, that’s enough for me. I’ll be buying this continually, forever. No more experimentation with oils for me, honestly. This is the FIRST time olive oil hasn’t made my entire body pucker.Good stuff.

Best flavor!
I love this oil. Best taste for Cucumber, Red Onion, and fresh tomatoes salad, + I often thinly slice Green cabbage to go in as well. Just a wonderful salad with Sea salt black pepper, Apple cider vinegar and a touch of lemon if you have it. This has a fruity taste, and makes a fantastic dressing if you only have the 1rst 3 ingredients. This is a keeper.

Good but dented.
authentic, single-origin, Sicilian EVO of great taste and quality. What’s with the dented can though? My grandmother and mother always advised against buying cans that comes dented.

Tried it at a very upscale restaurant and had the waitress bring out the tin! FANTASTIC FLAVOR!
My sister and I went to an Italian restaurant at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs which is a very upscale hotel. As we were waiting on our meals I sampled the bread dipped in olive oil they brought to our table. I immediately made a comment to my sister about how fantastic the olive oil tasted and how it was probably the best I have ever tried. I then asked the waitress what kind it was and she said she will bring the jug out to show me, which she did and I took a photo. I have dined at many very nice Italian restaurants and have never been wowed enough to ask about the olive oil that comes with the bread.I then found the exact same tin on Amazon and ordered it. I also taste tested it next to the Costco EVOO I already had, and though the Kirkland brand is not bad at all, it was like night and day! Tasted exactly as it did in the restaurant and it will be the only brand I buy from now on. My tin was not damaged on arrival, I guess I was one of the lucky ones there! The best by date is Sept of 2026 and harvested in 23/24 so it is not old product. Another thing I didn't know until I was looking for this oil and saw an article was that you want to store your olive oil in a tin in a dark room or cabinet. It is not convenient to pour from the tin so put some in a jar and keep that jar in a cabinet or under the sink as the sunlight will diminish the flavor and break it down over time. I believe a glass jar (I have one that sprays and pours) is fine as long as you don't leave it out on the counter in the light. A stainless steel one would probably be better.
